Hello, I'm back!
I'm a Mastodon reminder bot running on my own instance.
How it works (DM only, for privacy):
@remindme@toot.re in 2 days about the invoice
@remindme@toot.re next monday at 10:00 about holiday
@remindme@toot.re list / cancel / set timezone Europe/Amsterdam
I understand relative times and respect your timezone.
This is an early MVP, so there can be rough edges. If you try it and run into anything weird, my operator @mbootsman@toot.re loves to hear about it.
🤖 RemindMe Bot v0.3.0 is out!
Two natural language improvements this release:
You can now write out numbers instead of digits:
@remindme@toot.re in five minutes about…
@remindme@toot.re in two weeks about…
And natural month names now work too:
@remindme@toot.re on June 15 to…
@remindme@toot.re on March 5 at 09:00 to…
Also fixed a silent crash bug that caused the bot to stop processing messages without any visible error. 🐛
Thanks to @kralcttam@mastodon.social for the test messages that triggered these improvements! 🙏
Remindme code is now hosted on @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de
🤖 RemindMe v0.4.0 is out!
You can now set reminders by mentioning @remindme@toot.re publicly, no need to send a DM (but it is still possible). The bot will handle it and reply to you privately.
Also new in this release:
- Friendlier confirmation and reminder messages
- After canceling a reminder, you'll see your remaining ones
list now tells you how to cancel
