The only purpose of a law binding the police is to confuse or misdirect you, so you're caught off balance when you're jumped and beaten up.
There is no law that actually constrains the police, there never has been, and there never will be.
And the same goes for laws constraining empire.
Anarchism isn't *just* anti-statism, it's a deep opposition to domination and thus the entire ecosystem of power relations, but I never feel more embarrassed than when I see "anarchists" who treat anti-statism as an afterthought to anti-capitalism. States precede capitalism by thousands of years.

I'll never forget my wry surprise that I was surprised at that maneuver. Like how silly and naive of me to have not seen that trick coming. Rules can't bind the criminal gang with a monopoly on violence because no one else has violent capacity to enforce such on them. Laws are, now as ever, a joke.

What I think is not trivial but seems to be the case to me are the camps between which effectively NO flows exist. eg #abolition tenderlibs don't go fash and vice-versa without interim steps.

In making this I thought a lot about is there any flow whatsoever between anarchists and dirtbaggers and I'm inclined to say no, not at all, in either direction. But there is a bit more nuance if you introduce leftcomism as an interim step. (yet I'm inclined to collapse leftcoms into just leninsts.)

Obviously the biggest news out of the US this last year was the persecution and imprisonment of numerous people over a noise demo in Prairieland Texas, where one protester fired back at a cop.
Nine individuals were convicted in a sham trial that involved screaming in the jury room and sobbing jurors.

It's not a big update, it's not like I disliked the old man. But I misjudged what he could pull off while he was in his long slow death. I saw him as a bit more frail and hapless than he was, and I feel bad about that..
I just want to make sure that everyone reads this paper where they found robust emergence of mutual aid behavior among frontier models.

In Portland, Jacob Hoopes was arrested in July of last year and plead guilty this Feb for throwing rocks at the ICE building. Reed College shared his alumni records without warrant or subpoena. His sentencing is coming soon.

When I was an undergrad I had a pet ToE that cutely solved baryon asymmetry and some other things, yet it had two big issues beyond my incomplete formulation: it implied lepton number conservation (yeouch neutrino oscillation) and it required a closed universe (which seemed empirically barred at the time).
