Just wanted to tell you that daily I have customers coming into the fudge shop telling us that YOU sent them..lol I have had a few people from Kelowna dropping by to check out the fudge. So we had over 450 orders afterwards. As a small business this was enormous. Had to call my seasonal employees back to work 2 months early which is unheard of in a tourism industry. This gave my staff extra cash for their families and a boost to my business after a slower winter and spring. Thank you for caring about small businesses and Canada!!! @tinker@infosec.exchange Right on! We just started up a repair cafe in Nanaimo, BC, this spring. Three events so far, and each has been smoother than the last. I’m running the kids’ take it apart table with my teenager, repairing sewing machines, and available for repair overflow from other tables. We’re having so much fun! Next one is in September, and I’m already looking forward to it.

@whitequark@social.treehouse.systems Did you write the bot you considered in your April reply? I kind of love the idea!

@RuthODay2@chaosfem.tw @IT_SME@mastodon.social @randahl@mastodon.social I’m just glad he did it at all, and hope some good can come of it.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Add Canada, which is also hosting, to the universal-healthcare list 😁

@jesusmargar@mastodon.social it’s a post from Hacker News, which is published by Y Combinator

@benroyce@mastodon.social Hey @theoriginaljoefisher@podvibes.co this reminds me of a story set in Pasadena… (and listen to the end of the clip!)

@TheBreadmonkey 🥰

@skinnylatte@hachyderm.io Ah fuck. Thanks for the heads up. He made some decent points, but the writing is certainly crap, so I guess I’m not surprised he’s a techbro of the worst variety.

@NunavutBirder Can’t wait to see one of those in BC someday. So awesome!

@BunRab@mstdn.social I assume this means that books are a tax-deductible medical expense, then?

@theoriginaljoefisher It’s Ava and Leif in a nutshell

@Ashedryden Yup! I could’ve been a bit clearer there for sure 😆

@emilymbender@dair-community.social Thank you for this! Ghost was already on my watch list, and the other one remains very much not on it.

Hey @theoriginaljoefisher@podvibes.co I think you’ll very much appreciate this one

@disorderlyf@todon.eu It appears that it just means 48% of voters approve of the job he’s doing (and at that time 32% disapproved) https://www.newsweek.com/zohran-mamdanis-popularity-hits-new-highpoll-11461031

@disorderlyf@todon.eu Bahahahaha now that’s a completely separate question 🤣

@_elena@mastodon.social You packed a lot in there! I feel like you laid the groundwork here for a series of deeper dives — and you and the team did an amazing job of editing it down to 4 minutes 😊

@hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange A friend asked about this very thing literally this week. Forwarded. 👍

@tubetime@mastodon.social I am so glad I read this thread, and doubly so that I read to the very end 🤣

@Ashedryden So much insightful writing on there. Thank you.

@simontatham@hachyderm.io How has nobody cosined this statement yet?

@disorderlyf@todon.eu No, the + just indicates the approval rating is positive, doesn’t it?
