Thanks CBC for sending your lawyers after me for including your PUBLIC podcasts in Podcast Addict! Like every podcast app, we don’t host any content—we simply index public feeds. If you don’t want your shows in apps, mark them PRIVATE. End of story.
Podcast Addict
And yet again Google has suspended Podcast Addict.
Now the app is supposed to be in violation of the Violen Extremism policy.
And the screenshot they provide is just a search result screen of some live radio screen.
Can someone help me understand what's wrong in the screenshot???
🚨 I need your feedback! 🚨
If you use the free, ad-supported version of the app, I’m planning changes to how ads appear on the player screen and I want your opinion before making a decision.

Podcast Addict beta build may fail to play. Workaround: grant Nearby devices permission in Settings.
A fix was published yesterday but is pending Google approval (may take days).
After answering 500 emails today, I hit Gmail’s daily send limit and cannot reply to any more users...
Latest version of the app should work around any streaming issues caused by podcast dynamic ad insertion. It also has some new skip intro/outro settings. All the information is in the app changelog
BTW 10/15 years ago podcasters where hosting their files on their own servers and some informations were often missing from the RSS feed. Now most feeds contain the file size and duration and therefore there's no access to the file as everything is already in the feed
Looks like the app is back on the Play Store! Now just waiting for the AdMob account to be reactivated. Thanks a lot for your feedback. I really appreciate it!

Podcast Addict has supported video for over 13 years...
Only users who manually downloaded the episodes OR who enabled the archive mode of the app would have triggered downloads.
And no I cannot help you debug this as I don't have access to the logs of my users so I cannot know how their apps are set up or what they did here. I'm just telling you how the app works. You can check by yourself and subscribe to your podcast and tomorrow just refresh to get the new episode and you will see that only the feed has been accessed
