I respectfully think the non-LG icon looks a bit flat and doesn’t fully do justice to the work you’ve put into it.
If the LG treatment isn’t your thing, maybe consider adding some depth—like subtle drop shadows—and a circular gradient in the background to give the surface more of a dome-like feel?
