@domi@donotsta.re @q@glauca.space that honestly just makes it even more fishy - the first might have been an honest mistake, but you can bet they wouldn't make an even less plausible mistake of the same type again just a couple months later.

@0xabad1dea@infosec.exchange hooray! I wonder if the RSS feed is less "manually copy-pasting XML, sometimes correctly, unless he forgets to" now

@pinkRhododendron@mastodon.social @ChaosKitsune@woem.men @rebane2001@infosec.exchange the latter, there's no reason the *implementation* of the shell built-in would have to use an extra machine instruction that does nothing (though maybe the compiler sneakily inserts one anyway, e.g. for alignment reasons!)

@k3ym0@infosec.exchange from asking around, approximately nobody has two months of food storage though. Yes, relationships are far more valuable in the long term, but they won't help if everyone you love starves or dies of thirst after two weeks. Please still have a bare minimum of disaster preparedness.

@TechConnectify@mas.to that's one beefy alternator to build into the car solely for this probably rarely-used purpose - or does the car have internal 120V receptacles anyway?

@agocs@hachyderm.io @TechConnectify@mas.to err yes, inverter (both of those names are kinda silly now that I think about it). Are you sure it's the same inverter that drives the traction motors though? That would also mean you can't use the internal receptacle while driving (which would be a reasonable tradeoff).

@brianbilston additional image description: because the starting font size would be way too large to fit the last line into the image, the font size decreases with each line starting from the sixth, making the last line look quite tiny

@jochie@strangeweb.page @jschauma@mstdn.social interesting, probably an artifact of NN-based translation? The meanings are close enough, and from context it looks like one is a real translation of the other
