Six years ago, I made the first commit of KYCnotme.
Today it's still independent, open source and curated by hand.
Don't get KYC'ed.
⚠️ SCAM case: https://kycnot.me/service/hide-cash
49.35 SOL (~$4,000) deposited July 17, no Monero sent. They denied the deposit address was theirs. So we made swap orders on their own site: the addresses it returned lead to the wallets that took his money.

Do your own research, test small, and understand the incentives.
Check KYC policies, ToS reviews, and more on kycnot.me to help you make informed decisions.

No, thanks. You can still use AI without handing over your government ID:
Happy 12th birthday, Monero. A good moment to read how it all began:
KYCnot.me is very much alive :)
I know I’ve been quiet on social media (I mostly try to avoid it), but updates have never stopped.

Bisq users: on May 1st a protocol exploit drained ~11 BTC from altcoin trades. Fix and DAO reimbursement in progress.
Move funds out of your Bisq wallet beyond what you need for active trading.
You can find such event warnings on kycnot.me:
To celebrate the 6th anniversary of kycnot.me, the classic table view is back by popular demand.
Toggle it for faster comparisons.
Many events going on with services recently. Hard to keep up. Check the events page for a global overview, services get updated as soon as we are aware of any issue:
KYC was sold as crime prevention. In practice, it fuels mass surveillance, puts user data at risk, gives platforms excuses to freeze funds, and kills competition through compliance costs.
Even in 2025, a record year for illicit flows, crypto crime was still less than 1% of all volume, according to Chainalysis. KYC punishes everyone to inconvenience a few.
KYC? No, thanks.

Really enjoyed MoneroKon and Bitcoin Film Fest 2026!
We are being hit by a DDoS targeting our new https://kycnot.me/swap feature. I have temporarily disabled the page and I am working on solving the issue.
Our Tor site was hit by a DoS, causing some downtime. It's back up and stable. Sorry for the downtime!
Reminder: kycnot.me is fully accessible over Tor. Use it!

Swap rates and KYC policies, side-by-side. Make sure you try it out:
Reviews are useful, but easy to game. We made some updates to reduce abuse
Small update: service pages now include a more detailed KYC policy section.
Know their KYC before they know you. Check it before using a service.
KYC is a one-way mirror: they see everything, you see nothing. It’s not about trust, it’s about control.
"KYC giant @sumsub verifies millions of users for 4,000+ clients, but nobody verified Sumsub. Opaque ownership, unnamed investors, 18 months of undetected breach. The gatekeeper never verified itself."
The site is now back up after a few hours of downtime. The attack is still ongoing, but it seems it is now mostly mitigated.
The DDoS attacks have not ceased. We’re still being hit by large DDoS. 4.71B requests since yesterday around 3 PM UTC.
The attacks come in waves, they stop every now and then. If kycnot.me is slow, that’s why.
RE: https://fosstodon.org/@kycnotme/116612864115976468
The swap feature is live again.
The DDoS is still ongoing, but I added some filters and the site is usable again.
Cloudflare is temporarily enabled with light filtering, so most users should not hit a JS wall.
CF will go off again once this wave is gone. No middleman by default.
⚠️ Incident logged: SolvoCard
Mastercard program cancelled ~10 June. 23 users report balances
