@neuralreckoning@neuromatch.social They have since clarified that the ban is not permanent, but only the first few papers will have to be published first. Also, they announced that some changes to the submission system are coming. They didn't give all the details, but it sounded like more approval from coauthors.

@Kaju_Nut the word "every" is not in Tom's post the first submission after suspension needs to be accepted to a reputable peer-reviewed venue. Then typically after 3 consecutive good submissions the requirement will be removed - but it depends to a large extent on the author's actions

@TalGolanNeuro @ORCID_Org In the next version of our submission system (to be launched later this year), we plan to collect more compliant metadata, and ORCID is under consideration. However, anyone can create an ORCID. It has no value as a credential.
