Launched a new typeface, designed in tandem with FaceType's, Marcus Sterz. This has been on my mind for a long time , it's great to see it live! It has Latin, Cyrillic and Greek. To show more later!

Flying back home to Vienna today after an amazing weekend in Berlin with @fontstand@typo.social. The conference was so full of amazing work and people. It was great to work with type designers in the workshop and also learn from everyone's experience. Maybe we'll do an online one!
Last year I designed a wonderful revival with The Type Founders team, with Rob Keller and Jill Pichotta and then kerning with Setastian Carewe and engineering with Stephen Nixon. @scarewe@typo.social It was a delightful project to design. Bringing a design back to life! It is my first revival.
Nowadays, I find such fulfilment helping others finish their fonts. Not as a font engineer but as a thinking partner, and giving feedback. It's quite wonderful.
It's great to connect online for our salon, but yesterday we had an in-person salon in Porto, and it was awesome. Connecting different generations of type designers was so cool. I look forward to organizing more in-person events soon.
The second Ligado type salon is happening soon, on the 25th Feb. If you are interested, send an email to hello@ligado.studio.

@koeberlin @fontstand It was super nice to meet in person and thank you for the clicks! 😆
If you would like to meet up and chat @fontstand@typo.social, let me know. I look forward to talking more about Ligado Studio and also hearing your stories.
I look forward to spending some time with type designers at the workshop at Fontstand, I am curious what the results will be, and the questions people have.
We are cooking the new Ligado Studio website, which will have more info about our services and how we are helping foundries and type designers up their game. Almost there!
Totally forgot to mention the font name posted previously. It's called Tempo from Ludlow. Available at https://roosterfonts.com/fonts/tempo/

@fhardwig@mastodon.social So true! I forgot to add the name! It's Tempo! Thank you for sharing the fontstinuse page.
Yesterday, we hosted our first Ligado Type Salon, and it was amazing and surpassed my expectations. It's great to connect with type people from around the world and make our days brighter and more 'ligado'. If you would like to be part of the next one, get in touch.
I will be giving a workshop at Fontstand 2026 in Berlin on the font business, called "How to make a living making fonts." It will be interactive and hopefully insightful. I will be there as the founder of Nova Type and Ligado Studio. If you have any questions, send a message.
I look forward to working with amazing type designers during the @fontstand@typo.social conference next week! We are 21 amazing designers!
It's okay to use AI, but please check the text afterward and make it human. No typos, please.
It's always nice ot enjoy Galicia and the relaxed way there to gather typography lovers around drinks and talks.
I have been working on Artigo Cyrillic, hoping this time it will come out. It has almost 10 years in the drawer. Who else keeps things in the drawer?
