Why do all the cute animal videos have some cutesy little einstein baby music in the background and not some like hardcore or like dubstep or drum n bass or whatever

"Do not declare C-style arrays, use 'std::array' instead"
This is the kind of oppression, newspeak and whatnot that George Orwell was warning about in his book 1984.
If you're trying hard to get into the bootloader recovery mode of an embedded device, a bit of sandpaper to the NAND will do the trick! But good luck getting out of it

That exponent is toooooooo big. You don't need bigger than 65537 for RSA. Just greedy

Fediverse I need a good Hex Editor on FreeBSD and Linux. ImHex is nice but ImGui generally feels a bit wet for programs I spend days in and it tends to be a bit more crashy than I'd like
"Hex Workshop but for good OS" is what I'm going for

Opps tried sending me a DDoS. Jokes on them, I never had service to begin with. I blink packets into the heavens like sending SOS morse codes. My computers plugged into the dirt below me. We transmit packets over tin can and string. Tried dialling into the ISP they put me on hold

or failing that, any information as to where the STFS containing the update gets downloaded from
i was able to find the 12408+ updates on the Xbox CDN (download,xbox,com/content/xenon/{version}/su{STFShash}.bin) but nothing beforehand; i have most of the files but i'd like a CDN source to verify

@nelson@wetdry.world yeah i wish windows 10 did way more with live tiles rather than encouraging phasing them out. if regular win32 apps could've set them it'd probably have been used way more and would've made win10's start menu way more useful
Hey guys I just had a new idea for Mastodon. We should add a button called the Peggle Nights button and what it does is launches Peggle Nights. I think it could be an interesting twist on the formula. Gargron please let me know what you think. #AddThePeggleNightsButtonGargron

some others have now discovered that dashboard updates between 4532 and 12408 are still on the Xbox CDN as (encrypted) XCP downloads. that still leaves updates between 2241 and 2868... anyone have a Wireshark capture of an Xbox LIVE update between November 2005 and November 2006?? lol

@samhenrigold this post resonated with me so much and reminded me of using a family iMac as a kid. it was a core 2 duo with a pretty pedestrian AMD graphics card and 4GB RAM, and i was 100% running very hard against all of those limits (that i just did not understand yet). so many memories brought back. thank you

@Gargron@mastodon.social will there be at least discussions on improving the moderation capabilities in Mastodon so server admins (both victims and passer-bys) can more easily manage these attacks?

@doskel@masto.doskel.net now that you say it i should probably move to self-made instead of contracted defense providers but i don't really have the space in my back yard for that...

@doskel@masto.doskel.net i can't believe it's 2024 and they still require Ubuntu or Debian. i've got everything else but they gotta support Arch.
