made a lot of lathe progress the last couple days, apron is mostly taken apart without any obvious blocking steps now that i got out a few stuck components. should be well set up to do a lot more next time i can sit down with it

i've been slowly grinding out my arakune combo. i'm getting there bit by bit, don't have the ender yet though

hellll yeah i was finally able to find a steady rest for my lathe. it needs a new clamping block and i'll probably replace the shop-made fingers that are on it (start with basic sacrificial soft ones and then maybe later do bearing-tipped ones as a more advanced project), but those are such simple issues to solve given that it was like $200 less than every other first party south bend steady i saw on offer in like, the past year
