And last but not least: NEW WEBSITE ALERT ✨🚨 After five whole years of saying I wanted to build a portfolio website for my photography, I finally fucking did it. https://fossheim.photography is now live and I’m incredibly happy with how it turned out! Built with @eleventy@fosstodon.org. Feedback, compliments, and bug reports welcome :BlobCat_Love: It's also possible to subscribe to the RSS feed of the entire website, the photos, the blog, individual species, or collections.

currently “trapped” in a public toilet stall because I can hear kids filming a tiktok video in the sink area and if I get up and out the stall now I might end up in it :ohno:

Almost forgot about the biggest piece of news of them all: in 2025 we’ll be moving away from Oslo and (much) further north, to Norway’s most beautiful region 💚 Exact timeline depends on when we find a house and how much renovation will be needed, but it’s happening and I’m so looking forward to it :BlobCat_Whoa:

Second: super excited that next month I’ll be talking about dataviz accessibility at Smashing Conf in Freiburg, and also host a workshop on practical accessibility the day after :BlobCat_Whoa: Both are sold out, but it’s still possible to join online: https://smashingconf.com/freiburg-2024/speakers/sarah-l-fossheim/ (Also if you’re attending in person: please mask up 😷 and don’t attend if you’re ill)

Formal complaint sent, and also talked with customer support. We got another person assigned to us, who will hopefully set up a meeting through the actual bank, and Ms. Hotmail will be reported internally. I also realised I don't even have her full name, just her hotmail address (which isn't a name) :BlobCat_ThisIsFine:

On a more practical note, now that I’m having more energy for social media again, I really do feel the need to separate work and personal feeds, so I’ve created a tech account: @fossheim@front-end.social. I'll move all my followers there in the upcoming weeks and use it as a public account, and re-open this one with follow requests on afterwards.

love (van)camping into nature to work on things like this, so much more fun & inspiring than the home office in the center of the city

Attached: 1 image Published a new blog on my ko-fi page for early access, summarising research about the breeding behavior of the purple sandpiper 💜 My new reading goal is a paper at the end of each work day, will probably continue to share fun facts I learn about birds on my blog as well ⬇️ https://ko-fi.com/post/Gender-roles-of-the-purple-sandpiper-based-on-res-L3L212HCEM

@moiety I’ve been working on one that looks like this and I would really like to know what those developers were thinking :ohno:
