In the 80s I drew howls, defending Jimmy Carter, now eulogized as "A fine human, if a poor president." One of those is a dam' lie. I prove it tonight in detail. Oh and then there's G.Soros. Come by either to burst a vessel or to honor our defenders.

A Netflix miniseries by my brilliant colleague Ken Liu – Pantheon- posits that AI – the current fad – will be superseded by UI – Uploaded human minds. Good writing, layered. With some of the nuance about uploading that are in Robin Hanson’s THE AGE OF EM.

Fewer posts? So busy! But here I offer life's basic contradiction! Between the genetic self-interest of individuals & the natural -or social- systems they are in. Too think-y for the web? OK I add THEOLOGICAL demolition of Pete Hegseth. For light fun.

You must watch these two minutes of Tim Kaine grilling a perfect example of today's Republican nominees. Stunning to finally find a Democrat capable of polemical knife-fighting. Demand wagers which party's top guys have 3x or even 4x as many wives.
