Jeff

@chadmccullough@mastodon.bsd.cafe @kde@floss.social A reasonable response to an issue with a lot of strong feelings. I think I'll leave KDE on my tower, but I'll leave Budgie on the laptop for now, to keep eggs in more than one basket.

@deinol@dice.camp Depending on what you're looking for, you can score some decent deals on sites like Ebay as well. Managed to pick up all the clan books for VtM 2e as physical books used.

@deinol@dice.camp My favorite editions are definitely the older ones. Masquerade 2e and Requiem 1e. I'm glad that people are having fun with newer material, and I would absolutely leap at the chance to play Revised or V20, but I find myself generally preferring older versions of the games I play.

@FlashF1R3 That is weird.

@FlashF1R3 Someone forgot to crack the window and leave water.

@futurebird@sauropods.win Like cousins at a family gathering.

No #TTRPG game tonight, unfortunately, but tomorrow is #SessionZero for a new #13thAge campaign. I think the end goal will be #EyesOfTheStoneThief. But first, I'll have to come up with where to start. I'm thinking #ShadowsOfEldolan then maybe #MakeYourOwnLuck but I have a little time to get everything in order. #GMLife

@fiscorb@mastodon.art Those are lovely! That's the kind of image I'll often use as computer wallpaper.

@thesleepysuccubus.bsky.social Good for you!

@AlSweigart@mastodon.social both disappointing and not surprising. They don't care, so it makes it hard to care about their materials.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social I really enjoy using Linux on my machines at home. Currently I'm using Solus with the KDE Plasma desktop. I love that there are so many options for users.

@ObsidianUrbex@mstdn.social Looks like Father Christmas had a bit of a struggle that year...

@ObsidianUrbex@mstdn.social Nothing like pulling down that sweet, sweet poet money.

I'm genuinely surprised how much slower and clunkier #Vivaldi is on #Facebook than #Waterfox or #ZenBrowser. It's noticeable.

@chadmccullough@mastodon.bsd.cafe @elementary@mastodon.social I did really like Elementary when I was testing it. I just preferred something rolling. The Pantheon DE was nice and easy to use, from what I remember.

@SecularJeffrey And the problem seems to be escalating.

@Adrenochrome For a mere sliver of a moment, this bird was crowned royalty and ruled all that they surveyed.

@RMPerkinson@mstdn.social I thought it was some kind of mega-high rise building.

@ObsidianUrbex@mstdn.social That place must have been awesome to explore. I'd live there now.

@Faintdreams Either they're betting on their asset losing value or they, like a lot of executives don't yet understand how much many of us strongly dislike AI.

@chadmccullough@mastodon.bsd.cafe @topher1kenobe@fosstodon.org @elementary@mastodon.social Nothing wrong with Debian. I was on Manjaro but after things got... interesting I moved to Solus and I'm very happy. But I had a lot of fun with the *buntu family and Mint, even Zorin when I started.

@mfranchi@social.vivaldi.net Hope isn't a bad thing and ideals are just goals.

@mfranchi@social.vivaldi.net Well yes, it wouldn't JUST be for sharing photos, but having a way to do that so that photographers could get and give feedback or show off techniques would be helpful.

@mfranchi@social.vivaldi.net I would certainly assume that it would be on a platform that users could post their own pictures, but yes, everything else you said.

@ObsidianUrbex@mstdn.social 1,000%. Definitely one part of my aesthetic. The other is art deco. It's a weird mix.

@pseudonym@mastodon.online In my superhero #TTRPG, I have a service on the dark web called Connie's List, where criminals can advertise services or look for jobs. I based it loosely on Angie's List and Craig's List pages.

Fellow #Linux, #KDE #Plasma, and #Solus users, I was trying to play #Jackbox games on #Steam but I'm getting a lot of screen flickering. I tried tweaking the #Proton a bit, but there are a lot of options. Anyone else deal with anything like this?

@tiefling@bardicperspiration.club My flirting is playful and probably fairly obvious. When I was a young man, I was largely oblivious that it was well received or that someone was interested. Now I'm married and very much not interested in anyone but my spouse.

@Petesmom @jon That would be nice. For a browser that partly sells itself on #NoAI, there are a lot of partners who have dived right into the deep end on AI, like Proton, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, etc.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social ...an essential human right.

@kemotep @Lane In my mind, it's the concept of D&D as a whole. Think of not only all of the editions it's spawned, but how many similar games, like Pathfinder, 13th Age, the OSR, D20 games. It's like Debian with Linux.

@getsolus@floss.social Worked like a charm on my laptop. I wish I could use it on my machine at work.

@futurebird@sauropods.win You've created Lutherants!

@reay@beige.party same.

@reay@beige.party I'm in a similar place. I keep Vivaldi as my Chromium option, but I find that there are things that I don't like about it that keep me from using it full-time. I mostly use Zen on desktop and Waterfox on Android. Since both can use Mozilla syncing, I can share pages and bookmarks between them. 99% of the time, I can do what I want with a Gecko-based browser, but every once in a while something doesn't work right, so I pull out Vivaldi.

@pseudonym@mastodon.online Oh, please do! My players got a kick out of it. Comics are a great way to expand horizons since you can have a mystical wizard, a grizzled cowboy, an urban brawler, and an alien all on the same team.

@tris@chaos.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social Not sure, but that's the exact same version as the Windows version I just updated earlier. I'm using it as a Flatpak, I'm using it on Manjaro as an AUR install, and I haven't had any issues. Your mileage may vary.

@tris@chaos.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social Flatpak is supported. That's how I'm using it on Solus. https://tuta.com/support/howto#operating-system-support

@corbden I know I'm boned. At least the university where I work has a pension plan, assuming things don't end up going down in flames.

@zenbrowser I love the little animation details. That really adds a special touch of class.

@Lane D&D GURPS World of Darkness Call of Cthulhu/BRP

@Tutanota@mastodon.social I'm trying to avoid AI clients. Nextcloud invests in AI and has it's own agent. This announcement didn't excite me but to each their own.

@aimee@mastodon.nz Element?

@RMPerkinson@mstdn.social Oh, very! It's also interesting how we reutilize shapes and how a different perspective can change your expectations.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social @tris@chaos.social And there's also the Thunderbird extensions, right?

@mgorny@social.treehouse.systems Pepperidge Farm remembers.

@peachfiend@mastodon.sdf.org Tough one, but I would be proud. Congratulations.

@ObsidianUrbex@mstdn.social Where was it taken and what was the building before?

@Tutanota@mastodon.social I feel like I need to start binge reading cyberpunk novels just to know what horrible things will be coming up next.
