Gradually increasing the speed of podcasts in @overcastfm@mastodon.social until I can’t stand it anymore. Now that I know I can go to 5x, I feel like I’m wasting time

Pixelfed: @Cschrader
My phone rings: uh hey. So I have a question about Claude, but anthropic doesn’t have a phone number, so I figured I’d try the Claude I do have a number for
Me: every time I go to my parents house every tv is on and they have music playing, it’s such chaos
Also Me: why can’t I listen to a podcast and music on my phone at the same time this is bullshit
I’d be so angry if I got laid off as the boss is trying to buy Warner brothers
I love this essay from @samhenrigold@hachyderm.io
Nobody starts in the right place. You don’t begin with the correct tool and work sensibly within its constraints until you organically graduate to a more capable one. That is not how obsession works. Obsession works by taking whatever is available and pressing on it until it either breaks or reveals something.

@viticci@mastodon.macstories.net do you have any recommendations for Italian language podcasts that might be accessible to new learners? My wife has family in abruzzi and we’re trying to get more comfortable with the language. Thanks!
@caseyliss@mastodon.social for your Pennsylvania/Delaware trip, did you know you can make it a trifecta and visit the meeting point of those two states plus Maryland?

@atpfm@mastodon.social IP enabled KVMs have existed for quite a while, although the last time I used one they cost like $5000 and required an (at the time) ancient version of java. They have come down A LOT in price. Marco could get every mini remotely accessible pretty cheaply.
@capheind@mastodon.radio I am, my pixelfed account is in my bio. I find interesting people to follow on the public feed, and by searching for hashtags I’m interested in
@marcoarment@mastodon.social congrats on transcripts. Listening to ATP, it sounds like a ton of work. I’ve only tried it on one podcast so far, but it looks great.
I’m curious about how you’re handling job distribution and prioritization. What you’re doing sounds similar to one of the HPC job distribution tools like Slurm or Sun Grid Engine, but I don’t think they support MacOS.
