@tante@tldr.nettime.org I'm one of the team leads at my current job and just had this argument with other engineers as to why I don't use AI. People are outsourcing their thinking, destroying the environment, and giving over info willingly to these dumb companies.

@cohentheblue@ohai.social @tante@tldr.nettime.org I work for a company in the US. Yeah I'm seeing a lot of that actually now that you mention it. I think you're spot on. My last job forced everyone in the company to have an hour of their day dedicated to using AI for "making the company grow". In reality, I used that hour to find a new job.

@slotos@toot.community @tante@tldr.nettime.org It's wild to me how LLM writes the opposite of clean code, just overly complicated code for something that should be small. It's like when you're trying to meet the word count for an essay in high school.

@AmandaMarcotte As a girl-dad, I don't know how any parent could want their daughter to just be reduced from a person to property that's only meant for raising kids, cooking & cleaning.
