Letterboxd contrarian dweebs having an absolute field day with this one. Sure it’s not perfect but welcome to horror, unfortunately there’s only one Kiyoshi Kurosawa. I swear I haven’t looked but I guarantee one of these is in the top 10 reviews on this app (soon to be shown on Netflix lol): - Me and who? - This happened to my buddy Eric - Men will literally do this before going to therapy Favorites of 2026

LB Roulette #120 from Justin Audrey Hepburn has never really done it for me, but after this movie I think she won me over. All timer ending.

Great companion to Aftersun in how they both handle adults reliving and processing trauma. This one didn’t punch me in the gut quite as hard but it’s still incredibly effective. Favorites of 2026

Even if you can stomach the tone of “aw shucks isn’t it sad that we won’t have slavery anymore”, this movie is just boring as hell?? Like you’re telling me the central drama is, which 40 year old man can the completely insufferable 16 YEAR OLD main character convince to treat her like shit? I’m sure that really resonated with white audiences at the time. I wish I could see the artistry and grandeur that people seem to love in this film, to me it felt more like a soap opera. Some cool set pieces

The absolute whiplash of putting on House of the Dragon right after watching this. The action sequences and effects in that show are a sick joke compared to this “flop” from 2012. Doesn’t help that HBO streams at like 1mbps, it never had a chance. Anyway this is 5 stars all day long. There are 6 movies happening at once and it somehow weaves them all together, gives each one weight, and lands the plane. If you gave this a chance and didn’t like it, try again. It’s ok to be wrong. I’ll take a se

Two powerhouse lead performances make this extremely watchable. It does such a good job of creating tension and constantly made me uncomfortable. Industry heads already knew David Jonsson was that dude, I’m just glad that the rest of the world is figuring it out. If you aren't watching it you’re missing out on the best show on TV by far. Mfs be like “does it get better after season one?” and then watch the entirety of The Pitt 🤣

Could not believe what I was watching here. Honestly felt like a parody at times. Such a letdown, this idea has so much potential. Spielberg can’t keep getting away with this…but actually he can and definitely will.

LB Roulette #121 from Rohan RDJ is so ridiculous in this…my Doomsday? I really don’t know how to rate this. Borderline unwatchable but also filled with so many insane filmmaking decisions that kept making me laugh. It also feels like it actually has something to say beyond all the shock stuff.

I need to just stop reading the top reviews on Letterboxd. Some X.com ass performative shit on every movie. If you genuinely think this is “propaganda”, you might be too far gone. Did you want him to start screaming at Sam Altman or something LOL. The strongest global forces are all racing toward the worst case scenario but ugh if only the documentary director had asked harder hitting questions? Fuck off. Solid doc.

Nolanmaxxed with all of his usual tricks and then some. I left feeling a little lukewarm on some aspects but the raw theatrical power that Nolan consistently delivers will never not work for me. You can’t grow up with The Dark Knight and Inception and not get knocked over by this movie. The more I think about it the more I want to see it again just to experience it. Ludwig my fucking GOAT, so many unexpected moments in the score. The 70mm intros tend to be similar, but the hyped up theater empl

Could not get on this movie’s wavelength at all. Excited to see what Kane does next because he has some juice for sure, but I was just so uninterested. My wife, about halfway through: “are we watching an intro to acting class?” Chiwetel and Renate innocent I guess but yeesh.
