More jigsaw progress. I go through spurts of pieces fitting together and then getting stuck for a while. I have no idea how I'm going to approach the blue irises. It's a solid 70% of the puzzle. The top right should be slightly easier to start with. #JigsawPuzzles

I bought myself one more little reward that arrived today. A new Casio F-91W. It's not like they're really expensive but the black and gold will look good with anything. I used to have a white one maybe a decade or more ago but in the process of changing the battery I couldn't get it back together properly. Someone who knows what they're doing (and has the patience for fiddly little stuff) could probably fix it.

It was seeing the cast list for the first season of Celeb Traitors that made me think "Oh, I might as well watch a few seasons of the regular one before the Celeb version airs". And then I watched all of UK, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand Traitors. Celeb Traitors S02 is airing in the fall, so there's plenty of time to join me in my Traitors obsession, just saying.

This weekend in Downtown Toronto:
- The DVP (highway) is closed.
- The Bloor line (subway) is closed.
- The Toronto Tempo (WNBA) are playing their first ever game at Coca Cola Coleseum
- The Blue Jays are playing 2 home games, 1 with a giveaway that people will line up for hours for
- A marathon is causing road closures
- Messi and Inter Miami are playing Toronto FC (soccer) at BMO Field and they are testing out the new World Cup seating with 45k people.
- Concerts??

It is going to be a mess.

They weren't really something valuable. And my parents never really put much stock in sentimental attachment either. Alas.

@COMPU73E It's honestly that kind of surreal psychological horror that gets into my brain and freaks me out the most because it feels like real experiences I have had. Rather than "scary guy with chainsaw in the woods" stuff which can be gross or scary in a way that I find unpleasant but not really that mindwormy. Getting lost and trapped in an endless shopping mall is a recurring nightmare of mine. 😖

And they take ages to do considering you know your chances for an interview are slim to none. Wait until you have a job ad require you to film yourself talking about something and submit that.

I've heard that people who live in the area of downtown that's near all the venues have just left the city for the weekend. And in about 30 days the World Cup games start.

I don't know that there is any value in doing all that manually vs running a shell script. If your process works for you that's fine. The only game I've ever used ReShade for is FFXIV so I'm afraid I don't really care if this is a hassle to do repeatedly for other games.

Defeated the second mini boss on the way to the final boss. It's a three stage lifts puzzle and I couldn't figure out the second one so I figured I'd reset the board and start over... except it sent me back all the way to the beginning of the battle and I had to do the first one again. At least I could do it quickly now that I knew the steps. And figured out the second one once I got back there. You can cross where the lazers are if you lift or lower the platforms out of range. #P5T

@LibraryAndTea@ottawa.place I've been with Tangerine for about a decade as they offer free no monthly fees accounts with no required minimum balance and online sign up. I also have credit cards / accounts with Scotia, CIBC, and MBNA, but wouldn't recommend them. But I think the lesson for the kid should be to always be checking your account. They're all going to exploit the shit out of you and cut you off the second you aren't profitable to them, none should be trusted.
