Microsoft just announced that they were breached by the SVR, the same Russian intelligence agency that broke into Solarwinds.

This is a big deal, and Microsoft owes all of us a much more detailed description of what happened.

Working with Chris Krebs and getting to know his wife Emily and their family has been one of the great honors of my life. The extralegal attack against their family should be condemned by all.

I have written a post about what is happening to them here: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/alexstamos_exclusive-former-trump-official-targeted-activity-7318372702438707201-SLo2

The amount of misinformation on Mastodon around Threads and the EU is a great demonstration of how motivated reasoning is not a problem only for commercial social media platforms.

A French Political Scientist (Frédérick Douzet), an Aussie Law Professor (@evelyndouek@mstdn.social), a Recovering Tech Lawyer (@daphnehk@mastodon.social) and a CISO walk into a podcast… join us for what we hope to be the definitive discussion of the Durov arrest and what it might mean for the rest of the social media world.

A very important piece from @cong@mastodon.social and Michael Keller on the tragic but obvious outcome of Twitter laying off the engineers and investigators working on child safety.

Corridor’s MCP server gives your AI coding agents the context to generate secure code, and our AI reviews pull requests to catch remaining security issues. Lastly, we give teams full visibility into their use of AI coding agents.

The latest Moderated Content podcast with @evelyndouek@mstdn.social and me is up.

This includes a long discussion of safety issues with the Fediverse, how Meta might deal with them, and some potential solutions to get ready for the challenges without Meta effectively calling the cops on a huge number of instances.

Have a listen:

Well, we did it. Here is the long-awaited crossover event of the Spring, where
@evelyndouek@mstdn.social and I talk to @katestarbird@mstdn.social about the current state of academic study of social media, the use of lawfare to discourage and silence academics, and, of course, March Madness.

@evelyndouek and I will discuss this on the podcast tomorrow: this reminds me of the repeated leaking of classified docs by players looking to get video games updated to be more accurate: https://kotaku.com/war-thunder-tank-classified-military-document-leak-chin-1849005359

I'm sorry for the caps there, but this is at least third time this has happened on War Thunder's forums, and it's getting ridiculous

@penllawen@infosec.exchange It's really great that our cables need to have the same compute power NASA required to put men on the moon.

This position reports directly to me and is part of our security leadership team. Experience running an app sec team at a fast moving company that has secured cloud infrastructure-as-code is required. As we build a SaaS cloud product and ship Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile agents, a broad background in a variety of platforms and languages is a big plus.
