I'm not at all against the idea of W Social per se, but how it is being delivered is Palpatine level shady and worth every ounce of mistrust. Critical Thinking always becomes a danger when bad actors are pulling levers behind the veil.

well, after years of tinkering around with no real aim, I've decided to try to get as self-hosted as possible. partly with my abandon of all things Meta when Pointless Orange Turd Undermining Society took back the Shite House in January 2025. partly with discovery of others' adventures in this realm ( cough @_elena@mastodon.social ). Had a shared web host since 18 months, time to leave the toddlers paddling pool and jump in. now have a VPS on bookworm, back to my first love - debian. next step, remember how
