#Paris #climatechange Found a substack claiming Paris is collapsing and I find it highly believable. Would still like to have some sort of affirmation. Is it that bad already? I bought an AC last year , which felt silly at the time since it only ran for two days in August. This year it's running almost non stop for at least a week now. So.. Paris how are you? Followers how are you? Is Europe cooked already? https://sarahwilson.substack.com/p/notes-from-a-burning-paris

Wie hieß das eigentlich als China und Russland und Iran #vpns verboten haben? Da gab es doch bestimmt so n griffiges Pressewort oder?

EU calls VPNs “a loophole that needs closing” in age verification push

The European Parliamentary Research Service has warned that VPNs are increasingly being used to bypass online age-verification systems.

A member of France's parliamentary intelligence delegation is openly pushing to add "ghost participants" to your encrypted WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram chats.

They're calling current encryption "a major obstacle for the work of the justice system and intelligence services."

The literal proposal is: the state silently inserts an invisible third user into every targeted two-person conversation..

Colossus : the Forbin Project
A movie from 1970 shows that it's a bad idea to hand over control of nation defences to an artificial intelligence. Smart people already said smart things about the movie. I only have a simple question.

How did Forbin got permission for building a gamma radiation moat as a Colossus defence?

Also the draw bridge only had railings on one side.

Guess the learning is that computer engineers are not great physical infrastructure engineers.

Grafana alone doesn't do the trick. I don't wanna invent a tool if I don't have to since this would be a one trick pony. If you want to tell me to vibe code stuff for it. Lol no. Can I have discipline for homelab? No. Than it's no fun and I won't do it and am sad because I can't do stuff.

@chrismarquardt Was ist Miosga? Also ehrliche Frage. Ich bin also überfordert. Worum geht es und warum per Briefpost beschweren?
