That's kool aid from Jeep back in the day to discredit the Samurai as unfit.

Mine's okay, the two little contact idea they had is finicky but a little jiggle and it's good, I do keep the contacts clean, little rubbing alcohol.

I use a Surface Pro 6, I know of a guy with an 8 on Fedora. Mine's on Cachy with Gnome.

Buy a single-board x86 or ARM PC with more than one ethernet port on it and install openwrt, or opn/pfsense on it depending on your sensibilities and enjoy.
I use an OpenWRT ONE router, it's a BananaPi with OpenWRT on it.
Update and reboot regularly, don't get behind.

Anyone who ever buys a Melvins album expecting ~12 tracks of riff-heavy, uptempo shredding, _unless your first Melvins record was "A Senile Animal" and you just got lucky._
The entire band's sound can't be Honey Bucket, no, and you wouldn't want it to be, but they usually get back to it eventually. "Working With God" had some really doomy stuff.
