Asked a colleague what I should draw during the game. They recommended an indian paintbrush.
I like how it turned out, so maybe I could add floral sketches to the Grimm Retellings Omnibus.

Have you helped other writers on their journey, or is it every person for themselves?
I help my writer friends anytime they need it. I'm not as available as I used to be for full chapter reviews, but I've still been able to give feedback on smaller sections and answer questions on concept and style.

What have been your writing-related achievements in the last year?
I finished a few installments of the Nephilym Chronicles and a novella that will be coming out this November. As always, updates can be found in my website and newsletter. :blobcat_love: I'm also 1/2 way through the third novella in my Grimm's retellings which is going much slower than expected. :blobcatsip:

Would you ever serialize your work? Have you done it?
Yes, The Nephilym Chronicles are a series, and I'm currently betting around the idea of releasing the Red Knight stories on a platform like Kindle Vella or Royal Road
Little Ven is keeping me company while I write and napping for the both of us.

Do writers read differently from non-writers?
Some people claim they do and I've heard the advice go both ways for "reading for pleasure" vs. "read to analyze".
Personally, I find it more enjoyable to read for enjoyment first and then take notes later if the mood strikes me.
My newest book "Requiem of a Queen" will be hitting online stores at the end of April and I am so STOKED.
It's the second novel in the Grimm Retelling collection and revolves around Princess Anna and her escape and subsequent return to her home. There's murder plots, goblins, and a dashing huntsman.
Did I mention the goblins? Tell Old Pecan I said hello if you pick up a copy.
Who knew a hiatus would cause so much work on the back end? On the bright side my newsletters are now up and running (free ebook magnet and all) and I have one novel coming out on pre-order with the draft of the next one only a few chapters from completion.
Just out of curiosity, here's a question for my fellow writers: Do you write newsletters?
If so, what do you put in them?

At a ttrpg game tonight. Between combat turns I'm trying to figure out what to sketch for part 6 of the Nephilym omnibus. What do y'all think of a faceless knight for black and white page art?
