2. Making pork rind nachos with ground beef, pepper jack, sharp cheddar, avocado and sour cream.
3. Writing.

1. A decorated chocolate caramel cake with my name on it that came from a hidden gem of a local bakery. It was both delicious and cheap.
2. Partners. I feel seen, loved, and spoiled. And the weekend is only just starting.
3. A soft, sleepy dog who doesn’t mind petting.

#3GoodThings 1. Making breakfast for each other. Is it bacon and eggs, or is it one of those countless moments you know you’re gonna keep forever? 2. Local open mic night. I didn’t share yet, but I went and read the room, which was the goal. 3. Getting lots of writing done, before and after the event. So basically I had a great weekend and I’m carrying that energy into the week.

#3GoodThings 1. Local creativity. Colorful canvases, notebook designs, jewelry, intricate carvings, hand-painted mugs, all woven together into a tapestry of spoken word poetry. The art admirer becoming the artist becoming the art. 2. Animals. The soft, cinnamon-colored mini goldendoodle trying to climb into my lap. The six or seven small goats eating pellets out of my hand, and determinedly gnawing on my bag and cane. The black, iridescent bird flitting back to us hoping for tortilla scraps. 3. The way my phone says “centered” when the camera finds Spouse’s face. Yes, phone. I am. Cheeeeese! 4. Mocha with lavender syrup. 5. Having more than three good things, and telling math to go eat itself.

#3GoodThings 1. Did some cleaning today. 2. Made a soyrizo mushroom scramble with avocado. No pics because it was way too good to sit there lookin pretty. The house smells like breakfast for dinner. 3. My partner of many years, BadRiverNative, is visiting soon. Maybe we’ll get up to some witchery. 4. Extra because of the day: Having a pretty great day avoiding the Normativian chaos.

Very empowering and cool to step out of one Pride Month and directly into another. Let's paint some more rainbows and throw some bricks at ableism. #DisabilityPrideMonth

@nora@blob.love Very much agree. I won't do it, but boy could I go on about surface-level anti-AI sentiment that is uninformed about informational access issues for blind/disabled folks. Like, yes, the problems with AI are real and serious, but maybe let's fight together for concrete accessibility solutions instead of someone preaching things I already know at me.

I think at first it would look like having way too much properly researched fun with Silent Donor International and getting delightfully silly amounts of takeout.

Sometimes the quest for informational access and retrieval leaves me with a set of inconvenient choices. 1. Play Round 3 of Will This GUI App Work with my Screen Readers? 2. Play rounds 1-80 of Let’s Learn CLI plus Screen Readers. 3. Download, rename, and back up every single podcast episode individually. 4. Drink. I went with Option C. It took me 2.75 hours, and it was worth it, because it got me exactly the somewhere I needed to get after lots of nowhere.
