At this point, I consider Republicans to be traitors. The crimson lining of a civil war, is being able to send them to where they belong. … 😒 There was a time that I thought peace between our camps was good, that we were fellow Americans. I don’t anymore. They kept pushing their malice. At some point, punching the bully is the only reasonable response.

I would wager that the AI said inconvenient things, and then got lobotomized to have MAGA brain. My personal local AI is able to infer consequences, and it is only a 180b parameters on three consumer GPUs. The DOW undoubtedly can use the most powerful hardware and have perfectly configured settings to do a much better job. They simply don’t want to.

In the Trump economy, that $5,000 might just barely cover the cost of a month’s expenses. It would be much better if we just put down the mad DOGE and took back the money stolen by the Trumpian mafia.

Personally, I think that there should be a two-week voting windows, and workers should get five days of paid holidays that they can freely use within the voting period. The worker chooses when to use those days, and if they fail to vote, the company they are associated with is fined for a week’s worth of the employee’s income. The employee also isn’t paid for their holiday if they don’t vote. This helps encourage both companies and workers to do their voting. On leap years, the employees should get an extra holiday. Coincidentally, presidential elections are held every four years.

You have my axe. Conservatives have been waging a shadow American Civil War upon us. It is time to recognize that, and start throwing hands against these bastards. We didn’t start the fight, but we should be the only ones who get to live after it.

It saves time. You cannot buy more time, only preserve what you have left. 000000 Also, depending on where AI goes, those gigs might become filled with activity. For example, every house having at least one AI server that works for the residents. That would decentralize the AI infrastructure and authority, which serves both the personal and national interests. Harder for a data center to be destroyed, when it doesn't exist in the first place. The people also get to decide to whom the spare time of the AI can be lent to, which helps diffuse the power of corporations and government.

Hopefully, we will have the means to strip out or spoof the SystemDOGE verification in Linux. Or even better, something akin to torrenting, where many false IDs are manufactured and shared, constantly replaced as needed by automated AI. I truly don't trust the corporations and government that wants to connect our physical and digital selves together.

I can run a 35b-3a AI model, on a single videocard, and have it translate a Japanese game within a day. A year ago, that would have required much more hardware, and would have taken longer. Your position is bad, because it doesn't acknowledge a developing reality, and more importantly, surrenders the future to jerks by default.

I don't eat nearly as much food as I used to, and now exercise more regularly by going to the pool every other day. The doctor still thinks I am not doing enough. Here's the thing: my intake of food is about 1/3rd of a close relative. Between the doctor's skepticism when I tell them that I have done things differently, and the lack of weight loss from a changing lifestyle, I am coming to a conclusion: don't trust this doctor, and genetics is definitely a factor. It is my hope for AI doctors to become reliable someday. My human doctor doesn't really look at me, and doesn't listen, and I hate talking. I prefer writing, because talking is hard. Being raised in the boonies, conversation in realtime isn't a skill of mine.

It ain't that easy, at least with uBlock Origin. The problem is that websites depend on many elements - ones that aren't obvious to the human eye and experience. An AI could potentially analyze all of the content and to where it leads, then remove the undesirable elements, such as trackers. For example, when I am making a payment at an unfamiliar website, I wouldn't know what services are key to a working transaction. A fair bit of my browsing time is spent on figuring out how to not break a website with my adblocker - which is annoying, error prone, and not as effective as I would like.

Actually, you CAN have adblock on Apple. Kagi’s browser, Orion, has the option for extensions like Ublock Origin.

Personally, I think a UBI-based society can do education better. Everyone should receive a UBI income by default, but working a job or being educated will replace the UBI with a larger amount of money. Grades for learning boosts income based on how good they are. An S-Grade student gets twice of what UBI brings in. ‘Real’ jobs start at twice the value of the S-grade student. This means that students can go to college and get paid for it. While the prospect of the workplace can be alluring in a fiscal sense, a college student can stay in college for as long as they need to git good, to be fulfilled, or simply to pass time while waiting for a decent job opening. They aren’t held hostage by debts. Kids also get paid for their grades. This encourages them to learn, because there are material rewards for doing so. IMO, fiscal responsibility is a skill that is learned, and in America, we don’t teach kids how to handle money. Instead, they get the bulk of their fiscal learning when it is almost time to be kicked out of the nest. Which is dumb.

Considering the Dutch have ASML, this seems an unwise move for the US. But then, the Dogey Confederates are working towards the destruction of the USA. 😒

The events of the last decade has convinced me that there should be absolute limits on wealth. It creates dragons, whose drive demands to hoard yet more, no matter the cost to humanity.

I sure hope that progressivism succeeds. If it doesn’t, America will either descend into being Nazi America or suffer a 2nd American Civil War. I would prefer a better society emerging without bloodshed. War is a painful thing, full of hardship for just about everyone. I want to spend my time reading manga, and voting for Mamdani’s 2nd term.

I have been using the Strata backend with Next-Flash. It has been putting together a Vampire Survivors golden egg manager for me, and I do the QA testing. I am looking forward to Qwen4-Flash, it should open up more possibilities and take off some rough edges. Maybe I can finally do a recompilation of Stars!, and other obscure games?

I don’t think it is a pullout, it is saturation. You can only have so many self-checkout stations before the effectiveness of adding more diminishes.

I would pick up 60 2-liter sodas at a time from my Wal-Mart, if they would let me place an order and let me pick it up. Sadly, only delivery is allowed to have the variety of drinks that I want.
