mastodon 4.7.3drawing for years and only now taking basics seriously :/
goals = drawing from imagination and getting proficient with art programs!
AI is completely unwelcome in my workflow 🤖🚫
Hello! I’m an artist new to the whole fediverse thing. I’m really inspired by hope and the echoes of our interactions with the universe around us.
I decided to return to studying the basics in drawing because I would like to give my imagination the dignity of expressing itself.
Eventually, I hope that my art will become more instinctive and better convey cyberpunk/sci-fi/fantasy storytelling, but inspiration is everywhere; I wanna see your work too!
I joined mastodon/my server yesterday, and y’all have been so welcoming. I’ve never had so many people decide to follow my work in a short period of time. It is very cool, and it’s nice to be online with other humans.
Here are a couple of my recent sketchbook pages. The basics I’m practicing lately are form, perspective, and the human head, which is a concerted effort in both. And a particularly weak point for me 😅
My sketchbook page of a Tuareg Man
The Tuareg people are a traditionally nomadic (now semi-nomadic) ethnic group now living in Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Algeria, and Libya. They speak Tamasheq (a Berber language) and practice Sunni Islam. Check out one of the articles I found about them: https://minorityrights.org/communities/tuareg/
Does anyone have anything to add about the Tuareg? I just learned about this group of people myself :)
@Kitty@mastoart.social Thank you!! This seems a lovely server and I definitely appreciate the info thread, as this is all new.
