Also if there's anyone who happens to have a phone running pmOS and would be willing to lend it as a demo device, I would be really grateful. In addition if there's any volunteers who would be willing to take over the table for some short periods of time that'd be amazing too! I would have made a custom t-shirt with your name on it if I had more time, but I'll promise to give a t-shirt next year.

I never did a proper fedi introduction, so here goes:

Hi I'm Ranny Bergamotte! I'm currently still a uni student, and I'm studying film, french literature and art. I'm very interdisciplinary, and learning is my passion.

On the digital side, I'm very much an enthusiast of FOSS. I do use Linux ofc, I work on postmarketOS, and am an advocate for digital privacy and freedoms. I also love using FOSS in creative workflows.

@nina_kali_nina@tech.lgbt Oh that's neat! That's a very cool concept, I love the interactivity! Reminds me for my thesis I'm planning to do something kind of similar, as there is no linear progression between chapters, they reference each other. So I'm thinking each chapter is a booklet, that way you can explore each topic based on what you want to reference. Hmmm, now I'm thinking, non-linear story writing sounds interesting...

@catilac@infosec.exchange Matrix for text? Has its own problems but is something at least. For live calling, I love jitsi, it's conferencing software but it works great, simple and FOSS. There's the main instance (that requires account for host) and also meet.evolix.org that is open. @sableraph@genart.social

@catilac@infosec.exchange @sableraph@genart.social If you want really really cursed, I wonder with screensharing and pipewire shenanigans via like qpwgraph or coppwr, could bridge between jitsi and discord, hmmmm. Eh, with jitsi URLs being the equivalent to a public room, you could tell everyone in discord that a fixed link is now the live calling space that anyone can join, and that'll basically replace voice channels. Later can worry about matrix or other text and doing matrix-discord bridges if you wanna be extra fancy
