OK dad.

I love my wife, I love my kids, and you seem cool!

Escape Room designer/builder of 10 years and dad of 2 wonderful kiddos living in Portland, OR. I post terrible jokes and updates to projects.

Former test subject of the #Forkiverse experiment. I escaped containment and hid in the garden.

Avatar description: a coffee cup with hot coffee inside. The cup reads “OK DAD,“ indicating that this dad—unlike “Number One” dads—might only be “okay.”

@_elena@mastodon.social hellooooooo to yoooooooou tooooo! I am indeed safe and sound in the garden! (With an added bonus of 1500 character count! I’ve never even had a thought that deserved so many characters!) Very gracious of you to check in. 🙏

@_elena@mastodon.social Can’t get rid of me that easy! (and thank you again for the kind welcome!) I’ll be spending some time privately messaging some of the forkiverse locals; the active people have moved, but there are still a few that only check in every couple of weeks. Hopefully I can ping them awake, but we’ll see. 🤞

@_elena@mastodon.social Le sigh indeed—they definitely botched the dismount here. We all suspected that the instance was on its last legs. Even so, the only reason we knew that it was definitely shutting down is because @Spacehistory@theforkiverse.com sent in a listener question to the Hard Fork podcast (btw, move your account Richard! 🤣). Pretty wild!
