@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Is the irony completely lost on people here? "Don't explain Trump, it's because ".

@0xabad1dea@infosec.exchange https://speld.nl/2012/02/24/plassen-in-de-gracht-doe-het-doordacht/ And a course on how to piss in the canals safely!

@evacide@hachyderm.io Has the US gone completely mad?

Goed bezig!

@TheBreadmonkey Well done, mate! Wish you all a lot of happiness!

@jimbob @dagb @jenniferplusplus They're only letting the use of lowercase "god" detract from "perfect". Still quite strict of course, but perfection is perfection and nothing less nor more.

@elfin That's the spirit!

@Sustainable2050@mastodon.energy Top!

@Sustainable2050@mastodon.energy Ben jij gegaan?

@noof@social.lol I wonder how spontaneous it was. Their act did really fit it well with the chairs in it anyhow.

@barbarakathmann@mstdn.social Linkje?

@TechConnectify I'm going to have to talk some people and admit just how wrong I was.

@Strandjunker Or 1939...

@Datagraver Wat hadden ze nou weer beweerd? Een zondvloed van gereformeerden?

@sopjes TEVEELTIJDOPHANDEN

@KathyReid I'd say we're doing a pretty good job at getting that old vibe back here on Mastodon. Not that I was around for those real early days.

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be Doesn't mean you cannot reclaim it. But maybe steer clear of the blue one 😆 .

@jenniferplusplus I'm not sure if I get what you're saying.

@ionica 60 wat?

@barbarakathmann Proficiat!

@ionica@mathstodon.xyz Weten schapen samenleving? Rare zin.

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be (Although some of the stuff it is associated with is pretty sickening.)

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be I find "The organization chose jigsaw pieces for their logo to represent the "puzzling" nature of autism and the inability to "fit in" due to social differences, and also because jigsaw pieces were recognizable and otherwise unused." on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jigsaw_puzzle

@skinnylatte@hachyderm.io What makes you not feel comfortable on Mastodon? I'd hope you would, but curious to find out what bothers you and maybe make this place better.

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be That's quite a read! But very interesting.

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be AnyTHING missing, oops.

@PartijvoordeDieren@mastodon.social De 4 mei herdenking _is_ inclusief. "Tijdens de Nationale Herdenking op 4 mei herdenken we alle slachtoffers samen." Een inclusievere versie proberen te organiseren werkt averechts en zaait meer verdeeldheid dan dat het verbinding teweegbrengt.

@inthehands@hachyderm.io I really really applaud your honesty about the multitude of the options. People tend to promote just one and find fault with all else. It's good that you share a more a nuanced view.

@Daojoan@mastodon.social I wish I really had imposter syndrome. People think I do, but really I'm not that sure I have it.

@courtcan@mastodon.social But, but, that whole two thumbs thing only works if you do the pointing with said thumbs! I'm sorry to pick on this point, but some say my pedantry is also an art form! Kidding aside: have a wonderful day!

@royaards@newsie.social Where at the EU border are there mines?

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be Is there a source for that symbolism specifically?

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be Yeah, I didn't think it was meant that way. It is always going to be hard that so much of the history of such conditions (can I even use that word...) is from an era when there was in general, I think, less acceptance for diversity.

@ibestuur goed bezig @barbarakathmann !

@AnarchistArt@mastodon.social Can we also agree and not be friends? ;-) Have a nice day!

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be But I don't think it's really helping anyone to shun the puzzle piece altogether, neither to claim that "Autistic people reject the puzzle piece symbol" without qualification, as the link you posted does.

@deach@hachyderm.io @fj@mastodon.social Interesting thought. I also did not like the individuals on the bills, but maybe more because they (mostly) stem from a pre-EU-cooperation time which makes them poor candidates.

@dorgaldir@mastodon-belgium.be I've never thought the puzzle piece was meant to suggest anyone had anyone missing. I saw it as a symbol of the desire that things fit neatly and precisely. But I'm not sure whether that would be an accurate representation of autism either. I always quite like gold (Au) as a symbol, but I'm not autistic, at least not officially.

@theleftistlawyer@mastodon.social I did not hear them say that (I don't follow USian stuff much), but it sounds ridiculous. Stay strong.

@Teri_Kanefield@mastodon.social Noone expects any one to "win". There are only losers. I think it was a lame 80s movie that featured some computer coming to the conclusion "war is a curious game, the best move is not to play", or something like that. The movie might have been called War Games, or it might not have been called that.
