@csb@na.social Weight gain and weight loss is a simple formula: Calories in vs Calories out. Everything else is just gimmicks to sell self help programs. I used to help people lose weight in the miltary to pass the fitness test. The first step is to start a journal of all calories you consume. Then make sure you are exercising enough to burn more calories than that. For most people the deficit is liquid calories. Most people would lose a lot of weight simply by switching to water and black coffee.

@csb@na.social I don't know anything about managing diabetes. But the advice I gave is good for anyone who wants to lose weight. My guess is jouranling calories would help with diabetes too, but I have no direct experience with it. I do know that if you burn more calories than you take in you will lose weight, and if you take in more than you burn you will gain weight. Some types of calories help you feel more full than others, and jouranling helps figure that out too.
