problem with cycling is now you have what is made goes over a longer period lowering any rate manageable. I think it wins if the density is high enough where you can be as fast or faster than the cars.

no I mean the people doing the work. I realize that initiailly thye places ran at such a loss it was kinda doable. especially if it was just supplement. Now though it seems like people do it as a main thing and with the wear and tear on the vehicle it just seems like its a loss long term. Its like the more you do it the less it should return. Once there is a car repair or such.

I honestly don't see how people do this and in a way that is in the black.

yeah its kinda wild that cocaine was in coke but and there is nothing about mass withdrawls when it was taken out. It was a small amount and ingested though and who knows how it was obtained form the leaf at that time. I had a convo with an indian coworker around this topic and they mentioned their grandma chewing something that was like the basis of opium and it was just normal back then.

yeah and a whole lot of casual users. kinda the same with it all but it does vary and obvious some are so powerful they have been used to make slaves. its like any self destructive behaviour though. hard to draw the line for other people without taking away self determination.

I would not be surprised thought is pawb does not draw more intentional trolls. Its like the one out group that is kinda socially acceptable to make light of their thing.

this is from gemini but 2005 would be the year 2/3rds of the greatest gen had passed away and 2028 will be silent generation. 2045 for boomers and X is 2064. So we are just getting to the point where more elderly boomers are dying over silent generation. Whats funny is it will be much longer for Xers to overtake boomers because of how large the boomers are and how small the Xers are and then it will be a shorter time once there are more millenials dying because they also are larger. Boomers will be the main diers for like 30 years going forward. I mean using current life expectancy anyway.

no idea. actually reading it again I think I misread it. he said they have anti ai trolls. so I think he means programmed bot type trolls. so yeah no sure if they have something that would attract trolls.

It really gets me that life was plenty nice and convenient in the 70’s when I was young with there being very little plastic. I really wish we could go back to that.

There are a few names I informally had good vibes for. I started using tagging to keep track of folks a bit. This especially helped with the opposite because blocking someone who is grossely bad is an easy decision but I like to give the benefit of the doubt. Now I can tag. It kinda gives me this this I wanted from trust cafe where you can rate verything but instead I tag it.

The list of nouns and verbs he has attached his name to grows with me. initially I think it was just fuck but now it fuck, ass, and shit and im thinking of adding cunt. Maybe shit was first. So hard to remember.

Thanks. I will give my peanut gallery perspective. This is a social software and its good its made by people. Its good enough as it is now and it will be great if it gets better but there is no urgent timeline to do so. Its better the improvements be things people like so much that someone wants to get it working. I think of it like a club. You can be a member and show up and have fun but you can volunteer for setup and such and that can be fun in its own way and you can become part of the leadership or start your own or whatever. This is not a corporation that needs to make profits. It should happen in a cummunal human like way.

Yeah I have to say I have been a doomer for awhile and honestly global warming was not even on my radar till the aughts. I mean environmentalism for awhile but not specifically the co2 problem. Feels that way anyway. What gets me is despite my doomerism I did not realize how bad it would be with the rich/powerful going nuts hoarding and pushing for more use of fossil fuels. Its like if we had done the best we could since the start of the millenium we were in for a rough ride and we consistantly stick pretty close to worse case.

republicans have to lose incredibly bad. Like so bad they can't block a 3/4ths vote and even dick dem in name onlies can't join them to block a 2/3rds. If its a simple majority it will at best slow things down.

this is one reason I have not been very motivated to block ads. its kinda something I want to know about because holy trump they are just lowest common denominator at this point. There is just a whole cesspool that people who have not seen adds since before covid are unaware of.

this is a good example of taking one part of a reply and not looking at the full nuance. Im expressing myself and who I am and its great you differ. I get that people differ. Its like a sterotype. Are they untrue. Not completely in my experience but everyone does not meet the stereotype. In this keep I do. To some degree. Again if you take into account everything I said it would be obvious im not talking about just fucking.

I think something being convenient is not bad though. Like what you mention either uses staff already working for the day or encourages hiring more and it frees up an aggregate of time among people to be useful if they are busy. That being said part of the fun of the library is exploring it.

I liked kbin a lot because earnest was pretty prolific with improvements. mbin felt a bit like maintenance mode. I went to piefed because it seemed to be very active with improved tools for the user and such.

I think that type of thing already has. Chicago had a lot of heat deaths in heat waves long ago and heating centers are a big reason we have not since. we learned our lesson like with the blizzard of 79. I certainly think it prevents more deaths than occur and that would be the majority. Its combined with messaging telling people not to wait and to get to cooling centers. There is a lot good public policy can do.

Im a dude which means if someones an adult im not likely to shy away. Realistically there is a point where someone younger than me is not going to be attracted to me or the commanality factor is not there or our lives simply would not mesh. Granted im married so this is all theoretical alternate univers where I was not. Similarly when it comes to older its likely to be more about looks. We all know some folks that keep themselves fit and if someone is hot they are hot. Now the limiting factor there is im not exactly fit and you have to be realistic in expectations. Anyway I don't think its about age when it comes to attraction. Its physicality and personality meshing.

could the reflective coating be on the inner part of the window pointing outward? Which now makes me wonder if doing that would get the solar window to gather more energy.

we had reduced it down to once in awhile due to emmissions. The wife and I. Like if we were at a burger place we might get a burger and once in awhile take advantage of a loss leader sale at the store. Since then a combination of our financial situation and beef prices and we now only eat beef when its free at a party or such.

I really don’t understand how anyone could want to chat with bots in general. Do people lack the ability to appreciate the genuine. It explains how you get people like trump. Who wants that kind of interaction?

Meh. As I always say I just want the ability to block instances as and either or for communities and users. if dbzer0 bans me I want to be able to block the communites (mods/admins to me) without blocking the relatively innocent (possibly) users. although wow. looking at it that is pretty creepy in a way. Its kinda funny as it might be one of the bigger issues (israels treatment of palestine) around if it were not for the state of my own country.

I have not eaten fast food in awhile do to cost but both the BK and whitecastel options were on par with the meat versions. Im in a little to no income situation but if it was the cheaper option would jump on it. If it was equivalent I would like to use it but my wife might be a tough sell.

I sorta was thinking there are only so many windows in my place that we really look out for the view. talked to my wife and we agreed that we would be fine with a less than clear view for everything in our place outside of the balcony and the master bedroom.

I never thought to express it that way but yeah I pretty much would like everything to be controllable by the individual. I get there are bad actors so having things like blocks setup by default is fine as long as the user can turn them off.
