"I would also like to remind you that the U.S. and Israel did not consult us before the war, and that Washington explicitly stated at the start of the war that European assistance was neither necessary nor desired," Kornelius said.

This wouldn't fix the issue. Drivers need to be signed, otherwise they won't run on Windows. Only Microsoft can sign them, it's got nothing to do with where the code is stored. They simply can't ship unsigned software. It's like you neither read the article, nor do you understand how software works. But otherwise I agree, fuck Microsoft and GitHub.

That's not evil or even wrong a tiny bit. In fact, you never even received the item when it was delivered, it was just a brick, so go and make a full refund claim. Fuck Amazon

Some good points, but poor comparison. Excel is deterministic, AI is not. Yes, you can ALWAYS trust Excel, after configuring it correctly ONCE. You can NEVER trust AI to produce the same output given the same inputs. Excel never hallucinates, AI hallucinates all the time.

And this is not going to end even if they ban them. Mark those songs as AI and let people filter them out. But we do need a new music service where every artist has to prove they are the ones making music on live stream and only then they are allowed to upload songs.

So in other words emigrating from (going away from) and immigrating to (coming in to), i.e. your initial comment is backwards.

You got it right this time, but not in the original comment.

Were you stoned when you typed it? Are you still stoned?

Not true. While setting temperature to zero will drastically reduce variation, it is still only a near-deterministic and not fully deterministic system. You also have to run the model with the input to determine what the output will be, no way to determine it BEFORE running. With a deterministic system, if you know the code you can predict the output with 100% accuracy without ever running it.

Spez is panicking because of too many bots advertisers are pulling out. So he needs to confirm the number of humans on the platform and be able to track when humans see ads. While pretending to only require ID from suspected bots, what will happen in reality is all the suspected humans will be flagged as suspected bots and forced to ID themselves. This way spez can gather the numbers of real people and have proof, all while keeping the bots untouched and claiming they are humans too, just never verified because they "don't exhibit bot behaviours". All billionaires are sleazy fucks and can't be trusted.

And yet, LLMs are not deterministic.

This is not hard stuff to understand, if you understand computing.

LOL, you clearly have no clue how floating points work in computing. What an imposter you are. Go back to your AI for more "computing" advice, Mr. "Software Engineer".

You could at least go and verify if your AI is lying to you.

Even when proven wrong, you still don't give up LMAO 🤣

I'm not gonna bother anymore with you, just talking to a dumb AI here.

Enjoy your "deterministic" AI and good luck in life.

There are more aspects to the randomness such as race conditions and intentionally nondeterministic tiebreaking when tokens have the same probability, apparently.

Yeah, in addition to what the commenter above said about floating points and GPU calculations, LLMs are never fully deterministic.

So now you finally admit that LLMs are not truly deterministic and only near-deterministic.

I've told you that from the beginning, but you were too smug, to first admit that major LLM provider systems are not deterministic, and then too smug to look up what near-deterministic systems are and do some research, and barking up the wrong tree.

Deterministic systems are always predictable, even if you never ran the system. Can you determine the output of an LLM with zero temperature without ever having ran it? And even disregarding the above, no, they are still NOT deterministic systems, and can still give different results, even if unlikely. The variation is NOT absolute zero when the temperature is set to zero.

On my tv I can keep closing the ad and re-opening the video until I get a 5 second ad or no ads at all! Usually takes less than 30 seconds, instead of watching a minute long video. Works with ads in the middle of the video too, you just need to skip to where you were after.

Do you trust what billionaires say? Do you trust their "good intended" motivations behind doing things? Do you trust them to be honest. Do you trust them to do what they said they would do? I don't. This is just a disguised campaign to collect human IDs and have that as proof to advertisers, all while leaving the bots alone.

First you say you don't trust him, but then go and say "let's see if we can trust him".

What do you know about spez? Why do you assume he is a good guy?

To me he lost his reputation when he became a billionaire through lies and deception.

To most others he should have lost his reputation when he surreptitiously edited comments that insulted him or when he falsely accused the developer of Apollo, the late most popular reddit app, of blackmailing him.

How much does he need to rape you before you start questioning his intentions?

Looking at you and that Reddit thread, it seems people love being raped and exploited by billionaires.

Yes, we need a better alternative. But people shouldn't accept their privacy being raped just because billionaires are lazy to implement better systems (but more likely they want to gather all the user data and are just pretending that there aren't better solutions), doesn't mean people should accept these shitty solutions. And guess what. I believe the FOSS community will come up with a much better solution than the greedy, cheating billionaires.

Your first and biggest mistake is trusting a single word a billionaire says (same goes for politicians). Billionaires didn't become billionaires by being nice and caring for people. Billionaires lie, cheat, deceive, break the law, rape kids, murder, steal and destroy things just make an extra dollar. FUCK. EVERY. SINGLE. BILLIONAIRE.

There are two types of Redditors. Sheep and people with opinions. People with opinions get permanbaned because their opinions don't match those of the mods. Simple. They're not necessarily bad people. On the contrary, the world needs less compliant sheep and more rebels. Sheep can stay on Reddit.

Billionaires are the problem, not the people. There’s plenty of money and resources for everyone, just that they are all concentrated in the 1% of the population. I pay more in taxes in percentage than those billionaires, why shouldn’t my taxes be enough to cover my retirement? Is it because someone decided to give tax cuts to billionaires and now there’s a hole in the budget?

Again, no. Most people produce more value than they need to last their lifetime, but most of that is stolen by billionaires. We need a fair society and we wouldn’t don’t need children to pay for old folks’ pensions. We already produce way more than we can consume in a single lifetime.

If anything, it’s your stance that’s pro-capitalist. Oh poor billionaires, what will they do if I can’t cover your shift, or if they have to give me an extra day off. Boohoo, poor poor billionaires, if only there was enough money to pay people fair wages and provide working flexibility. Yes the non-parents absolutely must cover your shift so the billionaire doesn’t lose any money. /s
