Just checked LibreWolf a hardened Firefox as I thought they disable it. Turns out its just off default and "There aren't significant downsides as Firefox Sync encrypts your data locally before transmitting it to the server." I thought there might be another reason to have it off (giving Mozilla your email?) but seems OK.

Not shitting on the idea but I bought a FairPhone5 that includes to what this suggests. Each main component (so not chipset) can be unscrewed and replaced easily, chsrgrt port, camera, speaker, removable battery. As of next month every major telco that owns infrastructure in the contrary will have blocked the IMEI (the first part identifies the phone and model) and will be unusable. Even unusable with a data only sim. It will only work on WiFi. Guess im just venting but id love to see how this concept could help in the situation.

Keepass with syncthing seems to be fine for passwords. I think email is a rabbitbhole so leave that for the pros.

New Drake meme format? Orange jacket guy, for those that don't know. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/drakeposting/photos and now you know.

FP5 specifically. Fp3 and 6 seem to be OK. Have a look in the official forums.

Cant change Snapdragon's IMEI, happy to if you have a guide! Plus it's illegal but meh.

Faiphone is being frog marched out of Australia. Each telco is shutting it down and blocking IMEIs. Sucks for the people that imported them. Cant even use it as data only. So unless you use it as puerly on WiFi it’s going to landfill. 🙃. Also. Lawnchair nightly/beta.

The 3G service was shutdown. The telcos needed to ensure devices can call VoLTE incase of emergency. FP5 does this. But it’s not officially sold here. So they see a modem there unsure of and now cant confirm if it will reliably call emergency. Easier for them to block it than see it works. From what I understand the major telco had some priority VoLTE stuff that made orbit not work. The second major telco seemed to support it as they use more open standards. There’s one left and well have to see how that goes. It also means telcos can now choose when to drop support for given phone models. Literally force users to upgrade handsets by turning them into WiFi only bricks.
