How one woman’s Tesla was remotely controlled – and used to harass her – by an abusive ex-partner
“You thought you’d get away with this. I am in your car. I am in your maps,” he shouted at her, according to the police records.
Over the coming days, Stacey found that the parental control profile, to which she had no access, could almost entirely control the car, including its speed, climate control, lock and curfew hours, determining when the car could be driven.
Between 6 and 12 November 2025, Pucci remotely alternated the car’s temperature setting between extremely cold and extremely hot.
“The victim has not been able to drive certain speeds and on most recent occasions throughout this period, [the accused] has turned on ‘Valet Mode’ which immediately reduces the speed to 40km per hour causing significant safety issues for the victim on the road”, the police documents stated.
“The victim has not had any control of her vehicle since she noticed the parental control profile added on the 1st November 2025.

Lauren Boebert says claims of sexual relationships with staffers ‘utterly false’
Among the most prominent allegations are that Boebert conducted a four-year “romantic and sexual relationship” with a senior female staffer, named as Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, then paid her $200,000 when Ratzlaff broke off the affair and threatened to file an ethics complaint of her own.
Additionally, Wheeler alleges, Boebert had a sexual relationships around the same time with Raven Finegan, a congressional employee and the congresswoman’s district chief of staff, and Jeffrey Small, who was her chief of staff from 2021 to 2025.
The complaint includes detailed financial records of Boebert’s congressional spending, and payments to staff that included more than $450,000 to Finegan to June 2026, and almost $780,000 to Small. Ratzlaff received more than $461,000.

Trump ‘border czar’ denies Milo Yiannopoulos was deported quickly to spare him from ICE detention
Yiannopoulos’s removal one day after his arrest, when many others who have been deported had first endured lengthy detention center incarcerations, has prompted questions about whether he received preferential treatment in that respect. Homan said the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees ICE, was trying to speed up the deportation process.

US Patriot missile stocks in Europe are ‘beyond critical’ due to Iran war, officials say
WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. military is experiencing a “beyond critical” shortage of advanced missile interceptors in Europe largely driven by President Donald Trump’s war with Iran, a U.S. defense official in Europe and a NATO official told The Associated Press, raising concerns about vulnerabilities in NATO countries to a potential Russian attack.
The U.S. defense official said the most concerning shortfall involves Patriot missile interceptors, which can shoot down Russia’s high-speed ballistic missiles. The NATO official confirmed the low inventories of Patriots among American and NATO forces in Europe. Both spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military matters.
In the event of a Russian ballistic missile assault on, for example, a military headquarters or power plant, NATO could be in a similar position to Patriot-starved Ukraine and be forced “to take punch after punch in the mouth,” the U.S. defense official said.

The illegal privacy violations ‘smart TV features’ are way, way worse than you probably think. I’d encourage everyone to read up on it and, if you have a smart TV, educate yourself on how to turn off ACR and/or make it a habit of unplugging your TV when you don’t use it.
I also made a video on it for my YT channel, if anyone wants to learn more.

It’s probably easier to just blame me than look at the absurdity of what Democrats did in 2024 and admit it to themselves.
As far as voting reform goes, the American people have been powerless to do that in any meaningful way for our entire history. The founders only gave wealthy, landowning men the right to vote. There was never any real intention for the poor or working class to be able to select a president. Our only real political power is local, and at least locally, good things are still possible. (For now.)

Agreed.
There won’t be any meaningful regulation until information stolen via these kinds of unlawful surveillance leads to a very violent public event, and even that might not be enough.

This is correct. I was a musical theater performer for decades and grew up in several dance studios, and they're always equipped with either a one-way mirror in a room where the parents can watch without being disruptive, or cameras.
But after the events of the past two years, we know definitively that the Epstein class is untouchable and entrenched in every detail of society and that every device with a camera or microphone and a wireless connection is spying on us. It would not surprise me to learn that Flock is collating the data received from such places and selling it to pedophiles for their entertainment.

I don't generally consume conspiracy-related content beyond documented history and sensationalized entertainment.
That said, it's relevant in a historical context that now, around half-a-dozen times, there have been significant security failures or breaches around this president leading to several near-miss assassination attempts. This is anomalous and doesn't really happen, because generally, the layers of security around a public presidential appearance are so strict it's essentially impossible to pull something like this off.
Couple that with the documented fact that Donald views his administration as if it is a reality show, even picking top administration officials in part on how they look are able to speak in front of a camera.
Those two facts, put together, make me think that it's not out of the question that these various assassination attempts are either staged or tacitly allowed and externally controlled.

I'll give them this much.
They did a brilliant job integrating Windows into every significant sphere of the globe. I had never even heard of LibreOffice until a couple of years ago when they rolled out Windows Recall and I got serious about learning and using Linux and open-source software more in order to protect my privacy.
It's wild to me that they have made a product that basically worked so incredibly buggy in the span of a few short years. It's actually a running joke at my work how basic things, that functioned for decades, no longer work as expected. We all just assume that Microsoft is passing along LLM-generated code into prod without any human verification, as a company may be wont to do when they've laid off tens of thousands of actual humans.
And now I haven't touched Windows except where I have to, usually for work.

Ours is not a representative democracy, if you look past a surface level analysis of American politics and read up on just how strong the correlation between public opinion and our governance actually is in reality.

LOL. Solid point. I should be focused on a politician's reddit shitposting that they've publicly disavowed, not the fact that people can't afford to eat.
You're comparing apples to oranges. Fetterman did not run as a progressive, and until a few months ago, running as a progressive made it harder to get elected and not easier. And the DNC is still publicly working against actual progressive candidates despite Mamdani's obvious success.
Platner's going to turn some heads in a positive way. I just hope he helps open the door for other progressives to get elected, because centrist is a synonym for fascist now.

Minutely is the correct word.
When we elect Democrats, the major difference is that the regressive movements progress more strongly at the state level, and the Dems we elected claim to be powerless to stop it. (Which we know is untrue because we've seen Donald wield near unilateral executive power.)
At the end of the day there is such little material difference between Democrats and Republicans that a growing segment of the population sees no use in missing a day's pay to vote.
This is why I think it's a tad incorrect to say "you get what you vote for". Because we really don't.

They don't. That is why regulation is necessary.
Just like how expecting people to recycle was bad policy.
Though I wouldn't be opposed to there being statutory regulations against parents whose kids get addicted to these applications and end up self-deleting or causing harm to others, not unlike how we're seeing the state start to go after parents who fail to secure their guns. But just trusting parents to parent isn't an option anymore. There's simply too much evidence of the harm these applications cause.

We’ve already seen what happens when the results are rejected: Nothing.
As for the military being deployed to voting booths, you do realize that it’s logistically impossible to pull that off nationwide, right? (Particularly so in the middle of a hot war.)
It’s fine to speculate, but I don’t think any of these doomer election fantasies make real world sense. If Donald’s going to fuck with the election, it’s going to be via the mail system, because he can do that 100% legally.
Americans are going to vote so overwhelmingly against his candidates that it won’t be possible to feasibly rig the mid-terms. $6 gas, not being able to afford groceries, and soaring homelessness will mean consequences for the ruling party. It always does.

They can stand guard all they want.
Unless those ICE agents are handing out grocery and rent money, it’s not going to matter. People are way more afraid of starvation and homelessness than they are of ICE at this point.
This is what Republicans don’t understand now and Democrats didn’t understand in 2024. Nothing motivates a voter more than poverty, and certainly not fear of masked douche bags. The poor are and have already been living under fascism for many years now, and in more than a few places people actually have a choice that is neither Republican nor centrist.
