Don Juan

My daturas have survived an intense hailstorm 2 weeks ago —you can tell by the holes in the green leaves. It dented cars around here, and broke a few windows…. but these daturas do NOT give a f. They WILL survive Mother Nature’s many wrath’s, and they WILL flower, and the only thing that can stop them is an asteroid.

This particular flower here is a stubborn asshole—just like its gardener/breeder.

These daturas are on full blast!!! It’s going to be a great season! Check out my Etsy shop in my profile if you want some of these seeds! I’ve been perfecting this species (Datura wrightii) for 12 years now!

Had two high desert frosts within the last month here in the four corners, but these babies withstood! My seeds have been through a lot in the last 12 years, so they’re built to tolerate a lot of Pachamama’s bullshit and her drama (Mother Nature).

In this part of the world, she doesn’t know what she wants, but my sacred datura babies do—they just wanna grow and be potent for all these brujas & brujos that are gonna pick them later this year, and nothing gets in their way!

It’s time! Finally the weather in the high deserts out here in the Four Corners is good enough to start putting these under the dirt!

Datura wrightii seeds, which I’ve been breeding for the past 12 years now. You know you want some! 😉🌱

My first post on the growers instance. Gratitude for accepting me 🙏🏼

Spring’s just around the corner, I’m looking forward to starting my datura garden this year! It’s tricky here in the four corners deserts of USofA—last frost is right around May, so timing is paramount! My seeds can withstand the elements though.

Here are some photos from last year’s flowers.
