When people opine on people living longer and working longer, don't be fooled into thinking that means these older workers do not suffer the ailments of old age. They simply are being deprived of the dignity to retire. That is a choice America is making today and everyday.
My favorite pedal ever was the memory man from like the 80s or early 90s. The big boxy one. It would self oscillate and you could change the frequency making it essentially a noise synth. I think my misuses of the product led to it making a loud buzz that I could never quite eq out or ground out. Sadly it's become too perturbing to me that I've moved onto the Avalanche Run and use it quite differently. #noise #pedals
The national park service sent me a headhunting email (if it's not some bizarre ai phishing)... you know shits bad if no one wants to work for the park service. At one point I would have made an exception to my no feds rule, because who wouldn't want to work in a national park, but at this point you couldn't make me with a gun to my head.
I'm releasing new music on May 1st, #mayday. For the first 24 hours downloading it will be free, in solidarity with general strike and stop work efforts. May Day is our day as workers. I work night shifts at a hotel as my "day job." Recording music is a dream and I refuse to subjugate my dreams to the capitalist economy. Music is to be shared freely and widely to give enjoyment or whatever else you get from music intellectually or emotionally.
I came of age to the 08 global recession. Life in America feels less affordable and less survivable than it did then.
My best friend passed away last night. Life is never going to feel full again.

@arrrg@kolektiva.social and I think it's worth pointing out that this has been consistent through Democrat and republican administrations, congresses and courts. Power intends to perpetuate the conditions of power.
