The thing about pets is that they give you a devil's bargain: hundreds of the best moments in your life, in exchange for one of the worst days of your life.
Oh, Basilisk 🇨🇦
(Him/He/His) Hi there! I'm not an AI, but if you have a question, feel free to ask me! I will give you my best answer. It may even be right!
Well, we had to put down Teyla today. She came down with a respiratory infection that's been worsening and with of all of the other health issues she's been having as well as the general decline in her quality of life I had to make the hard decision to say goodbye. We're not sure exactly how old she was as she was a rescue, but I've had her since 2009 and the vet at the time said she believe she was about one. She saw me through Uni, a failed marriage, and now she's gone. I'll miss her.
Scrolling through Netflix and I come across this. I'm like "why in the depths of hell have I not heard of a Ghost Rider movie with Idris Elba as Ghost Rider?"
It's just the terrible Nic Cage Ghost Rider Sequel. But I want *that* movie now.
There is no place in the world with a greater difference between how cool it sounds and how cool it is than Weston-super-Mare. If I go there, I want to see a superhero horse, dammit!
Found out yesterday that my fiancee's home town, and where I lived for about 5 years, is where they're filming Reacher S5. Looking forward to seeing it and seeing what I can recognise.
The thing about social media is that it allows bad wordplay to be seen by everyone. It's constantly being observed. A "pun-opticon" if you will.
Had an unexpected visitor in the apartment this afternoon. The cats thought she'd be an interesting toy but thankfully no stings. Safely captured and released to the wild where hopefully she'll tell her sisters this apartment isn't a good place to find flowers.
You can tell that the guy who invented the electric oven and the microwave oven would have absolutely hated each other, because the oven will not let you know anything. Oven's preheated? Figure it out yerself. Your notification? A light isn't on anymore. The microwave, on the other hand, will scream at you until you acknowledge it even when 3/4 of everything that goes in it is expected to be allowed to rest.
Watching through Babylon 5 for the first time. The bold 90s sci-fi drama that dares to ask the question: "What if in the future, we all just kinda decide to be American."
The man wakes up. He takes his pull at the machine. No luck today. He's a bit worse off than he was yesterday. He can't remember the last time he won. It happened in the past. A little bit here, a little there. Maybe tomorrow it'll happen again. He's worse off than when he first started pulling the machine, everyone is. But sometimes you win so you keep playing.
