89% of people all over the world want their governments to take stronger climate action but the governments do the opposite – what else can I conclude as that any appeal to obey governments, appeal to them or work with them is propaganda of the most dangerous kind. We can't afford to wait for governments, leaders that base their supposed "legitimacy" on being democratically elected, on being the voice for the populace and then do not only the opposite of what we want, but the opposite of what we need too. Because turns out we're not a bunch of short-sighted, bumbling fools, we know better than the lobbyists, climate-killers, fossil fuel oligarchs and politicians how important it is to actually DO SOMETHING. Solutions do exist. It's not too late. It's never going to be too late to do something as long as a single human is alive. We can dispossess the climate killers, we can share food, medicine and housing fairly so that everyone has their needs met and their potential to help heal the earth is freed up. We can restore ecosystems, plant forests, swamps and savannahs (depending on where we are) that restore soils and hydrological cycles WHILE ALSO feeding us and wildlife, providing building materials and regenerative fuels, medicine and habitat for endangered species. Been talking long and winding with @DionTheBlackDragon@blackqueer.life about (among other things) the importance of being FOR THINGS more than you are against other things. And by that meaning, specifically, how important it is to uplift people and connect to people, places and nature you want to protect. And sure, don't worry, you're gonna have to take a stand and take action against those that threaten your loved and close ones (human and otherwise). But uplifting BIPOC people, being friends to them, and just treating them like human beings (which many people do NOT know how to do, seriously) is more important than getting into arguments with fellow white people. And I'd say too, as a trans person, it is more important to me to connect with and love and accept love and support from my fellow trans and queer people than it is to shout at transphobes. It is also, to me at least, more important to be friends with imperfect comrades and allies than to delineate in- versus outgroups by picking fights over semantics or minor issues or misunderstandings. Though everyone has different tolerances and needs and picks their battles and I'm trying to go with my gut more than having The Correct Rules or theory. But nature too... I could never find enough hope to fight for climate justice and against climate destroyers in a SUSTAINABLE way (ie without running headlong into burnout) until I learned how to connect to nature, and what people are doing to restore ecosystems and water cycles and thereby even mitigate some of the more worrying effects of climate change. And this has shifted my worldview altogether, tbh. I can see reality more clearly, with much less need for denial or distortion, because I allow myself to truly take in the hopeful and positive things, people, projects, science etc that's out there. Without constantly listening to that sceptical voice in my head that tries to find flaws and tear everything down that seems positive.

GOAL: 0£ / 2,900£ Since we didn't make rent last month, but have to pay rent for next month, and also have to eat and pay bills, I'm remaking this post. We've both been struggling a lot with health lately and not been able to make money or even be online much. We're working hard on recovery and one thing I can say about both physical and mental health is: You can't strongarm it and you can't force it and you can't hurry it up. It is what it is, and our bodies and minds are doing the best they can with what they have and what we give them. I find some good ones, but the algorythm keeps pushing horrible slop at me, riddled with errors. so depressing. I remember when the sidebar of youtube was videos similar to the one you just watched... if it was part of a series, you'd see the next parts of that series... when will the nature of mindlessly watching videos on the internet be restored to its former glory?! 😩

If you're wondering about me being half-undocumented: I am an EU citicen and have my german ID card, BUT I have no tax/social security number (my application got rejected) and cannot get myself registered and can't have a bank account. Dion is undocumented because of Brexit, but we can still at least use his bank account. I have a lease contract, but if we can't make at least a partial payment TOMORROW, we can get evicted and if that happens, finding new housing will be even harder for us than it is otherwise.

It's both an attitude problem AND a structural one. People who can't/don't perform are made to lose education, work, therefore money, therefore housing and food. Sleeping on sidewalks or begging for survival are not restful, I can attest to that. We know capitalism sucks. It's in christianity too (sloth is a deathly sin you guys STRAIGHT TO HELL) and has seeped into general society from there, forcibly exported all over the world through colonialism and imperialism. #UBI now!

The thing is, there's this cap on patience and on being kind to one's body, and on listening to one's inner cues. It's "within reason". As in "eat when you're hungry, until you're full - but within reason". Or "Of course you shouldn't push yourself too hard when exercising" - but the unspoken rule is that this is "within reason" too. It doesn't apply to things that abled people don't consider exercise. If you struggle with everyday tasks, you have to push yourself harder, no exceptions. I'm sure there are lots of messages out there about taking breaks and resting and such. But they break down for disabled and chronically ill people and people who are on the slippery slope that leads there. If you're well enough (privileged enough) that rest will restore you and that you can fit enough rest to restore you into your schedule, then that's ok. But if that doesn't work anymore, that's when people need MORE rest. And we can't get it.

It feels weird that I still feel like I have to justify why/that I'm trans and haven't transitioned. Or that people assume since I am still alive, my dysphoria can't be all that bad, as if my validity was measured by my suffering and death was the only answer. I have survived hells you can't imagine, so leave me alone. I actually feel very soft towards my body at the moment. I am learning to dissociate less and take good care of it. Still want certain parts off!

I went grocery shopping today! YAY! :D Now we have nice food in again! Breakfast is again a possibility! Plus, I baught ingredients for pasta and potato salads cause I like to eat those when it's hot, cause they're cold yet filling. And then I napped for a couple of hours and I let myself because I remembered that that's ok and I don't have to force myself to do things when I'm the kind of exhausted that can be fixed with rest. It does mean I'm awake at night again, but that's ok. Landlords have not complained about noise. Our previous neighbour must have been really extreme in his demands for how quiet we should be.

I guess I wish I hadn't gone through puberty. I don't even know if indefinite pyberty blockers would work (it'd fuck up your bones right?) but that's the dream for me. Though I'd still like to opt out of having genitals at all tbh. Maybe one day, idk. I don't normally think much about this. about what I would want I mean. And honestly... I can't even do most of the things other trans people often do that aren't medical transition: Wear gender-affirming clothes for example (can't afford them) or do other non-permanent things to modify appearance (they'd put pressure on my body that I can't deal with on top of my disabilities, like tucking or binding etc). Plus, being nonbinary and fat, it's often hard for me to figure out what would be gender affirming in the first place.

my life sucks, I hate this so much. can't register my business (it costs a fee), government demands my answer soon in order to process my request to get registered as a foreign resident. cant go grocery shopping or pay internet bill or buy clothes. this is a scary situation. i wouldn't have let it get this far except every step to fix it cost money and it's just... poverty sucks you guys and it is SO EXPENSIVE to be poor 😭 you just get hit with so many fines and restrictions and scrutiny and it all costs money to deal with and none of it makes any sense and this world is just built WRONG and why do any humans allow this bullshit to happen and I'm spiralling I'll stop now

Honestly I SO wish I had like, a handful of patrons (like old timey art+music+literature+opera etc supporters y'know) to finance me helping BROKE abused queers. I would love to work for free. There are just so many people falling through the cracks of all the "help" systems and charities etc, like I did and do too. And I have clawed my way out enough that I want to reach out to help others who are in the shoes of me from a few months/years or decades ago. Like. I know I can help. And I know there is lots of need for it. And I know HOW MUCH of a difference it makes to someone's life and in turn their community!!! Through y'alls solidarity, we got through April! Unfortunately it's a new month and we need food now. That's why I'm making weekly goals for this month. I'm also expecting some income from working, but it won't be much yet - unless someone else wants to hire me :)

We're two trans, disabled, neurodivergent abuse survivors, recovering from eating disorders and chronic (in @DionRa@kind.social 's case lifelong!) malnutrition, trying to get on our own feet but relying on mutual aid until we get there. We need money for rent, bills, food.

Y'all have already helped us through and out of horrible situations, please let's continue this effort until we are thriving and in turn able to pay it forward! We're so close!

I have always done a lot of free work for my communities and I am continuing to do so, but I need paying clients to be able to continue and expand this labour of love.
I am working with one client who can't pay themselves, have since January. I love my work and I'd love to be there even better (less stressed about money, with work materials) for them and other clients!
