Hey fedi, I have a question. I would like to understand a pattern that has been around me for years, and I'm curious.
People often see me as a "dommy mommy"; I guess I give off that vibe. I don't mind it, but I don't actively do anything to project it either, so I'm wondering how it keeps happening.
Do you have any insights or theories on the social or psychological mechanisms behind this pattern of perception?
Was supposed to be working on networking code, but I accidentally built a Stargate instead. Pretty sure the Hammond of Texas would approve of this distraction. Chevron 7 is locked, I guess? 🫡

And I wanted to test it with a friend, but he's not available.
We're both Stargate fans... so, as a joke, I just coded a Stargate into my game, which is barely at the network prototype stage...
Apparently, I made a mistake...
I sent an at message to a moderator on a forum... and got banned instantly.
I don't know the reason, and I'm not even sure it was because of the message cause the only information I have is the ban duration...
I would like to know your opinion on the message? Was I disrespectful in any manner?
