That's so old!
Now they work with "why delay a game when you can release it half-assed and just fill the void of content later as free updates?"
See splatoon, animal crossing, mario spin-offs..:

I'm talking about the updates with the content that should be in game at launch. You know, those that, after they released them all, make the game feel like the 1.0 release.
The dlc's are those they launch later with what everyone else call "qol updates"

Tangential, but I'm feeling pretty good about getting Dolphin and Cemu working on my Linux desktop over here and playing all these Wii and Wii U games for free. I am a patient gamer. Bayonetta is rad, ngl.

I think it's so funny that there's a tool called "Wii U Downloader" that literally downloads the game files, whatever game you want, directly from Nintendo's own servers

project m is still the best smash bros, and I like playing it with my f310 and having digital movement.

The original quote (which didn't involve pricing) was from a poster on the wall @ Nintendo, and was never said by Shiggy directly. I think it originated from an article in the 2000s and got incorrectly attributed. I dont remember exactly though.
