I think the same. Plus if advanced aliens, capable of building starships that can cross the vast distances between stars, had found the Earth; all hominids would've been genocided harder than the injuns were when we first came to the American continent, the jews too would be dead as well.
If the ayylmaos were any good, which is very unlikely, they would've killed only the jews and separated human populations by race.

@greenshoots@poa.st @DrRyanSkelton@poa.st They aren't in starships and don't come from vast distances. "Alien" just means foreign, as in foreign to this material plane as well.
There is a reason that "UFO encounters" seem to be able to break the laws of physics as well as directly respond based on the emotions and thoughts of others.
I can believe that true connection with "otherworldly beings" can test a persons faith in many ways.

Then we really should be calling these things demons/spirits, and reserve the word "alien" for the kind that would merely be from another planet in this particular material universe.
In my opinion, a separate word should be used to describe those beings that are metaphysical/non-corporeal.
And since these types of interlopers seem hostile, and behave much like what the Church fathers would describe as demons, why not call them as such instead?

Aliens, ghosts, demons, etc, are all very similar in their nature as non-physical entities. Also this definition of demon is from Webster's first 1828 dictionary.

And given the utterly intangible nature of the encounters, (sightings, radar readings, etc.), that defy explanation, the illusory powers attributed to them by exorcists matches up with preternatural demonic activity in the case of many UFO sightings.
