@MeanwhileinCanada@ohai.social I wonder how many ghost stories can be attributed to cats being cats

@MeanwhileinCanada@ohai.social my first wife had those in the baseboards of her apartment back then, and her moron cat would play with them for hours. The walls provided a lot of resonance.

@MeanwhileinCanada@ohai.social @BorrisInABox@fwoof.space Now that is just to cute! I did run that threw omni describer, and the first time it said it was the cats tail doing that, and then when I ran it a second time, it said the cats paw, but neither time said anything about it being under a door, but still cute. our son Kalvin when he was just under a year old absolutely loved playing with those springy door stops. he would crawl right away to one of them, like the one at our front door and play with it for a while. Even if you picked him up, and moved him somewhere else, he would crawl right back to it, and start playing with it again.

@BorrisInABox@fwoof.space @MeanwhileinCanada@ohai.social I think our son actually broke the one at the front door in the apartment we were in at the time, he was doing it so much.

@JamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.me @MeanwhileinCanada@ohai.social I broke lots of them in my childhood home. Now I have a pine box with 9 of them screwed to the lid.

@BorrisInABox@fwoof.space poor Kalvin was upset when it broke, so I tried fixing it. I think I spent 30 minutes trying to fix it for him as he was very sad his toy broke.
