@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Ackshually … they don’t have to and they wouldn’t. We don’t have 1 and 2 cent coins in the Netherlands, but sticker prices still use cents. We just sum all amounts in a purchase and round the final amount to 5 cents. The retailer would not round $7.99 to $8, because the latter would look much more expensive even if the difference is only a cent.
