What are the best ways to prevent our open source noncommercial software commons from being silently fenced in by parasitic capital again? I know there&#39;s copyleft licensing, but you still need lawyers to chase down infringers. How do we fill that gap? I&#39;ve heard you can give the project copyright to an org to fight that on your behalf, have any of you done that? I have some projects I&#39;d like to open source that i think could be helpful to people, but i want to do it rig...

At my job, we feel a bit like cows in a pen, looking around nervously, because every so often, the farmer comes to take one of us to eat. We can eat the grass, enjoy the sun, try to be nice to the farmers in hopes they don&#39;t take us, but like clockwork the last month of each quarter, they come around to take someone to eat, to feed the monsters.
