We're trying something new with Patreon membership here at Solarpunk Presents. Since September, we've been piloting a "Pay-What-You-Want" model. Starting at $1.75 CAD/month, people can choose to support us at whatever financial tier is most comfortable and affordable for them. The post's illustration, though it has only three tiers, explains a bit of how individuals may fall along the economic spectrum, and might be helpful for decision-making .We have...

  RE: https://mastodon.green/@fastfrwrd/117400388547207636 Really enjoyed guesting on the Carbon Neutral Strike podcast, listening to Aleya explain the #alternative #economics system being piloted at Fastfrwrd.info. I definitely understand #NBS&C more now. #solarpunk #ecoSystem #ecoeconomics #NatureBasedCurrency #TimeBanking #AntiCapitalism #OnlineVolunteering #fediVolunteering #MutualAid #EcoCurrency

Periodic reminder that we have a Patreon and we need support! We're a two-person outfit, and we don't have ads or sponsorships or get money from Big Solarpunk (though it would be hilarious and terrible if such a thing existed). We are getting by on your support and the money from our own pockets, and investing the time and energy into this that capitalism is telling us would be much better spent earning a wage to keep the machine running. If you can find it in your hearts and wa...

9.4 Solarpunk Presents: A Climate Grief Project with Ariel On this episode of Solarpunk Presents, Ariel reflects on the roots of solarpunk in the despair, rage, and grief that many of us feel when confronted with information about the climate crisis. Solarpunk is a reaction born out of these emotions, yet we don't often know how to talk about them - grief in particular. https://shows.acast.com/solarpunk-presents/episodes/94-solarpunk-presents-a-climate-grief-project-with-ariel #solarp...

I'm hosting a #solarpunk #movie night later this month & can't choose what to watch. I'm torn between #fiction (SFFH or otherwise) or #documentary. Any suggestions? (Not #Ghibli... though we do love those #films so...) #SolarpunkPresents #MovieNight #Streaming #WatchAlong #MovieNight

Hey friends, I was chatting with Aleya the other day, and she mentioned that she doesn't use Mastodon as she'd heard that it has incorporated the React code from Meta. Are you aware of this? How do you square this? Is Mastodon not as free from the Meta infrastructure as we thought? This was new to me, so I'm curious... #Meta #React #code #codingInfrastructure #Mastodon

Hello friends and followers, After a lot of careful consideration, Christina has decided to take a step back from the podcast. If you are a Patron or free member of the Solarpunk Presents patreon, there's a post explaining a bit more about the situation there. (https://www.patreon.com/posts/156282390?pr=true) However, Solarpunk Presents isn't going anywhere. A huge shout-out to Aleya Jobson, who has been (pretty much single-handedly) producing a steady stream of content for our...
