Periodic reminder that we have a Patreon and we need support! We're a two-person outfit, and we don't have ads or sponsorships or get money from Big Solarpunk (though it would be hilarious and terrible if such a thing existed). We are getting by on your support and the money from our own pockets, and investing the time and energy into this that capitalism is telling us would be much better spent earning a wage to keep the machine running. If you can find it in your hearts and wallets to support us financially through a Patreon subscription (starting at $1.75 CAD over at https://www.patreon.com/solarpunkpresents), that would go a long way towards helping us to keep going. We want to keep bringing our listeners interesting solarpunk discussions and interviews with the people who are doing solarpunk in the present. It's rough out there for anyone valuing the environment, social justice, compassion, or even just basic human decency, and we want to keep doing our part to keep hope alive. We want to broaden the imagination of what it's possible to do to contribute to a better world, no matter who you are, where you live, or what life stage you're at. Okay I'll get off my soapbox now. PS: Those in financial straits, we see you, too. If you want to support our show and solarpunk in general but you just can't monetarily, that is totally fine: instead, write us a review on your podcatcher of choice - they go a long way to encouraging us and giving us good ideas for future episodes and guests, plus bumping our visibility so we can reach out to more solarpunks like yourselves. Or, you can share an episode you particularly liked with a friend; word of mouth recommendations are so important in our current sea of media. #MutualAid #solarpunk #support #Patreon
