  A fierce gust of wind cut power for a split second on our street last night. The flicker in power was enough to trigger our home security alarm and send it into a frenzy, I had to manually disconnect the battery backup which is hidden in a basement crawlspace and then run to the electrical room to cut power in the entire house before the screaming alarm would shut off and stay off. All while being half-asleep. Now every electrical beep or blip has me triggered. The joys of homeownership....

  are there people out there like me that hate working out but do it anyway? I only see influencers and friends that looove being active and running and working out. They gross me out. I want to hang out with people who hate working out but do it anyway. Spend as little time as possible at it but still do it.   woke up with tightness in my chest and body aches. the depression feels heavier today. still had to get out of bed and get an early start to dinner prep before forcing myself to workout then taking my kid to her swimming lessons. I had hoped that my recent exploration in art and creativity would help ease the weight of joblessness... but all I feel is apathy.

  Just want to pat myself on the back for not eating a single cookie yesterday. I devoured half a box of those Chips-Ahoy! Chewy chocolate chip cookies in a couple of days. They were so small and cute and chewy. I'd have one every time I'd walk by the kitchen counter. Yesterday I told myself no cookies for the entire day. I succeeded.
