A fierce gust of wind cut power for a split second on our street last night. The flicker in power was enough to trigger our home security alarm and send it into a frenzy, I had to manually disconnect the battery backup which is hidden in a basement crawlspace and then run to the electrical room to cut power in the entire house before the screaming alarm would shut off and stay off. All while being half-asleep. Now every electrical beep or blip has me triggered. The joys of homeownership. The joys of adulting. #adulting #ageing #aging
