Fun looking electronincs kit -> Electronics Lab for the .NET Developer Somewhat torn, they sent us free demo kit to give away when I ran a user group so they are very nice people. But I don't want to send any money to the US government via taxes right now. If you do however want to fiddle and learn and are already US based, consider backing them. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ghielectronics/electronics-lab-for-the-net-developer #.net #csharp

Having planned a few days away, my wife now has pneumonia and is in hospital. I'm in the holiday cottage with Florrie (dog). Not great, but she's getting the care she needs and I'm hoping she'll be out tomorrow. I expect though that she'll be in there the whole holiday. But, she's getting great care from a very stressed and under resourced NHS. The best money I ever spent was to pay the taxes that pay for this. She says the nurses are wonderful...

@beasts , do you have any details on using postgresql with your services? I'm looking to move hosting from MS SQL it feels like PGSql is a better fit than mysql. Your site mentions PGSql as an option, but I can't find details. Price, specs, management, backups etc.

Long shot, but this is a nerdy crowd so might work. Does anyone have a hardware based random number generator they don't use and would be willing to sell / loan? Seen lots of projects but they mostly seem to be out of stock, expensive or abandoned. Working on an idea and need a HW generator.

UK Gov has issued a licence to open up the Jackdaw energy fields stating that it'll be good for energy costs and security. Neither statement is true and they know that. These fields are linked to world markets and huge corporations. It's the wrong thing at the wrong time. #UkPol

I ordered a hardware random number generator from the US (I'd have preferred the UK or EU but couldn't find the right product). So far the only thing random about it is the delivery path. It's going all over the US and just sitting in depots. Americans pride themselves on their commerce abilities but they don't seem able to ship much outside their country. Three weeks so far. I have a project launch waiting on this.
