The best way to tell if a proposed legislation is good for children is to check if the word "children" is in the name. The presence of the word "children," "kid," etc., is a sure sign that the legislation has nothing to do with children. Legislation that is good for youth is generally good for everyone, and doesn't need to be sold with deceptive language about their protection.

Two questions: 1. When someone sends you an enumerated list of questions, do you just answer one and ignore the rest? 2. You already stopped reading, so I'll just use this space to say you're an asshole.

Those TSA agents must not be from Seattle because this is the most Seattle thing I've ever seen. 'TSA finds sharp "mutant blades" in carry-on bag at Seattle airport: "Never seen anything like this"' https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tsa-finds-mutant-blades-carry-on-bag-seattle-airport/

Kind of a trivial little project, but it was more difficult than it should have been, so I'll take a victory lap here. I got this luggage on the cheap at a thrift store, only to get home and notice that the rubberized layer on the wheels was cracking and falling off. I bought a set of inline skate wheels, drilled out the rivets holding the originals in place, and bolted the new ones in. They look 99% cooler and will probably outlast the suitcases. If not, at least they'll be easily rep...

RIP Raoul Vaneigem "Desire everything, expect nothing." Here's a lively interview from 2009 that gives a nice taste of what he was all about. "I am simply the spokesman, among others, of a radical consciousness. I just do what I can to see that resistance to market exploitation is transformed into an offensive of life, and that an art of living sweeps away the ruins of oppression." --- In Conversation with Raoul Vaneigem - e-flux Journal no. 6 https://www.e-flux.com...

Tonight in #Berkeley. My little Northern California tour begins in a first-time ~duo~ collaboration with the brilliant Aine Nakamura. Aine and I have collaborated a number of times over the past few years, mostly along with Kevin Corcoran. Her movement and voice are always astonishing, and I am excited see what happens when it's just the two of us. The other sets are quite promising as well. Full details in the alt text (flyer by Isabelle Waldner Kalb). Please see https://otherghosts.n...
